  1. The Twins are nowhere near the team the White Sox are. Put these games at a neutral site and watch what happens. We were 7-2 against these f***ers at our house where we played in a real stadium. It's funny that the Twins need a fast turf and high bounces to succeed while they bloop pop ups down the line. It works, but it's pussyball. Their style of play doesn't work in most baseball stadiums, that's why their road record sucks ass. They're built perfectly for their little dome and turf, we're not. We're old, slow, and love to hit pop ups. We just don't match up well against dome teams period. It's not only the Twins. They're not better than us. We just suck at domes.
  2. QUOTE (DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) Why is it that umpires are allowed to show up players? Players complain to officials in every sport but baseball umps have to be the most confrontational. I guess just chalk it up to good old baseball tradition. Alfonso Marquez is just a jag bag. I think he's had a bad history with Swisher this season.
  3. The Royals beat Liriano last time out with Brandon Duckworth. One loss by the Twins and a win by us today will change the entire complection of this division.
  4. QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 08:15 AM) A series in which two game deciding runs scored on questionable calls that could have easily gone the other way to pretty much decide the AL Central is not an expample of why it's needed?? And yet, had we executed, those runs wouldn't of even mattered.
  5. Scott Lewis has been amazing so far. With this offense of ours, I doubt we can get 5 hits off of him tonight. Danks is going to have to shut that entire Indians lineup down.
  6. The horrible umpiring didn't help, but we lost the last two games because we didn't execute enough. I'm all for more instant replay, but this series is not an example of why it's needed.
  7. QUOTE (Texsox @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 08:19 AM) Injuries. Too many to overcome. Occam's Razor. All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best. And yet, we had a 2.5 game lead with those injuries. We choked. No more, no less.
  8. Bobby has never pitched well in that dome. Our defense played a wrong setup by not playing no-doubles. Bobby made two 0-2 mistakes. That's inexcusable
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 07:55 AM) 75-55 with CQ in the lineup. 11-17 without. Talk about MVP...
  10. This team is so dead, I don't think they want it at all anymore. Although, if we win one more game than the Twins in the next 3, we still have a chance.
  11. Gavin's at 93 pitches. He needs to have an economic 6th.
  12. Got out of that one. Phew.
  13. Our guys are so sloooooooooooooooowwwww.
  14. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:48 PM) Can't expect every call on the corners. Gavin is nibbling. The strike zone is freaking moving. When you call a game, call a consistent one at least.
  15. This strike zone is atrocious.
  16. So umm...I guess Anderson is just forgotten in that situation?
  17. Close play. Reyes in to face Griffey. Make them pay Junior. You still owe the team a run.
  18. 2 straight walks. Another mound visit.
  19. Two blown calls in this series already. Brutal umpiring.
  20. Not even close to over fellas. Keep the damn line moving.
  21. Denard Span has two of the luckiest hits in history in this game. Both have resulted in runs.
  22. My god. Come the f*** on.
