I actually found myself not bothering to check the score tonight until an hour ago. Sometimes life is just better when you live in ignorance.

Just because the wall is at 398 feet doesn't mean the ball can clear the wall if it's hit at 398. Usually you need to hit it at least 7-8 feet further than that to clear the wall. That's unless you had a super high launch angle and the ball drops perfectly over the 398 mark.

On most nights, it's not even hitting a bunch of singles that's the problem, they just don't hit anymore singles once they get a guy on third base.

The Sox would get 2 guys on base almost every inning and then not do shit the rest of the inning. That was basically the story against Voth tonight. That and the stupid ass wall in LF taking way homers that would be gone in every other MLB park.

With the exception of Sheets at home, all the at bats from the left side of the plate have been pretty much trash.

Yoan has no chance against Bautista. The splitter neutralizes the platoon advantage and he can't touch 100+.

That was something they were really good at last year.

That's a tough at bat for anyone, but it really should have never gotten to that point. They left 10 guys on base in 8 innings and Abreu was a big part of that. They clearly hit Voth pretty well, but when it came time to get base runners home, they choked over and over again.

Cleveland is gonna run away with this thing.

Especially for this team, cause watching the team trying to hit a sac fly is like watching them scratch nails on a chalkboard.

I seriously hope that stupid ass wall in left field costs the Orioles when they're actually in contention the next few years. It's one of the dumbest changes to a stadium I've ever seen.

The Sox just love to get guys on base against the mediocre to bad pitchers, but they won't score much. Cause they choke endlessly with guys on 3rd and less than 2 outs. That's how we usually end up with 3-4 runs on 10+ hits against some guy with a ERA around 5.

He laid off all the great pitcher's pitches but couldn't lay off the high fastball.

I've gotten hit right on the elbow before and it was only in the mid 70s. I can't imagine the pain from a 102 MPH fastball.

Typical

Unless Jose gets hit here, he's gonna swing at crap out of the zone. You can tell he's anxious up there.

How does anyone hit Bautista? He throws 102 with a nasty splitter around the zone.

That got him right on the pad and he's still in pain.

Seriously?

That's just bad luck lmao

We fucked around all game and now Bautista is in. Good luck.

They left him in there for 4 batters when I could have told you he wasn't healthy enough to pitch after the first batter.

I'd honestly rather watch that lineup hit than the White Sox one.

His platoon splits are extremely drastic. He's prime Barry Bonds against lefties and Leury Garcia against righties.

Moreno got the memo in Anaheim. Maddon really blasted the way the Angels run things behind the scenes. I feel like the Sox are in a similar situation. Where the organization isn't being run like a modern team and we're seeing the results of that on the field.
