Reylo looks so good for the first 30 or so pitches and the stuff just wears down. At least that's been the trend in his past few starts. Hopefully he can go at least 4 today.

How he is pitching with the Cubs is kind of what he was with the Sox for the last month he was here. He wasn't striking people out. He was pitching to contact and walking people. He was basically the relief version of Dallas Keuchel with his peripherals, but with elite stuff. I wonder if he'll ever return to the guy he was in 2020. That Heuer blew guys away with a high 90s power sinker and had a great slider. Now he's averaging 95 on his fastball and hanging his sliders a lot. His change up got better in 2021, but the rest of his pitches regressed a lot.

Dude Yaz can't even beat out doubles to the wall in the corners. If it's not in the gap, he's getting thrown out at 2B (see when Franmil threw him out in Cleveland last weekend). Abreu isn't fast but he can at least run near league average speed. Had Yaz tried what Abreu did yesterday on the wild pitch he wouldn't have even gotten half way before the throw got down there.

That performance last night on SNB probably sealed it. The dropped third strike call on the transfer was so bad and it cost the Red Sox the game.

They have some networks' postgame show on it. I know they show the Bally pre and post game shows, but not for NBC Sports.

Who was in the middle of the pile up though? Crochet? I don't think Jose is getting suspended if he didn't even get ejected, but you never know with MLB.

PBP guy asked Morris what to do with Ohtani and Morris said "be vely vely careful" in an Asian accent. People tried to say he was impersonating Elmer Fudd, but Fudd doesn't say "vely", he says "vewy". So he was either being racist or it was a terrible and wrong Elmer Fudd impression. Either way, Jack Morris is a terrible color guy and the Tigers broadcasting booth is trash.

Kyrie's one of those guys who will be contrarian just to make himself look smart. The guy literally believed the earth is flat. His aunt seems to be all in his ear about this stuff and she's definitely one of those people. I wonder how much of a role she had in Kyrie being this way.

We had a 99.2% chance of winning this game entering the 8th. Mike Wright tried his best to get that down to 0. I also blame Mike Wright for Jose's HBP. Maybe it doesn't happen if the game is still 8-2.

This was a big win, mostly because of the benches clearing. You can't lose a game after that.
