  1. lol they freaked out about him in the playoffs last year. If he really needed it, he would have had it last off-season.
  2. Still considered a hard hit ball. Jose has to make that play, but I expect strike outs from Crochet against lefties that are barely hitting .200.
  3. Yeah I looked this up the other day and was surprised it was that low. We've given up more runs in the 7th and 6th.
  4. Man Crochet shouldn't have even allowed Heyward to make contact that hard. That's the ideal matchup for him.
  5. Jose has to have that... Now you might have to waste Kimbrel or Hendriks.
  6. Tony trying to save Jose Ruiz for some reason.
  7. Guessing we'll see Crochet and Ruiz to finish this one up.
  8. Mike Wright trying to make this more interesting.
  9. Like playing Vaughn at 3rd when Leury was actually available and ended up playing 3B later on that game.
  10. We actually missed Leury when he was hurt. Without Engel we were stretched pretty thin on in the OF and on the bench. Goodwin had to play against lefties cause we didn't have anyone else to play. We also couldn't really pinch hit for him either cause all the other guys on the bench were left handed.
  11. Had Heyward not completely bungled the ball Yaz hit in the 5th, there's no way he gets even close to 2nd.
  12. Bottom 3 in the order still hitless.
  13. Tony keeping him in the game so he gets a shot at .200.
  14. If there was ever a time for a HoF caliber manager to pull a young player over and tell him not to do that again...this would be a good time.
  15. Maybe Lynn can make him look like that again tomorrow. He ended up hitting a no doubter against Crochet in the same game.
  16. Robert yeeted that ball into the stands right after he caught it.
  17. So Mike Wright can make the Cubs feel better.
  18. Lopez done after he threw a perfect 5 innings.
  19. Cubs on pace to throw 200+ pitches tonight.
  20. You'd think Reylo would struggle against the Cubs since they're basically a AAA team.
  21. Reylo might have a no hitter had he started this game.
  22. Even Gordon called him Leury Legend on the broadcast yesterday.
