Hit it hard, but right at the SS

Hoberg being behind the plate makes me feel a bit better. I also feel lost without Baseball Savant. I need to know the exit velos and xBAs! lol

A game like this definitely favors the away team. They get first dibs and can feed off the emotion.

Didn't the Giants also pick up Basabe last year? Seems like they like to pick up OFers we drop.

They had been playing pretty well coming into this series. I think they took 3 of 4 from Houston and limited them to less than 5 runs every game.

All this means to me is that they should be trying to win as many games as possible against the bad teams before having to play 4 good teams in a row. We might be wishing we didn't punt this game when we're struggling to win games in the next 2 weeks.

It doesn't help that 3 of our best hitters sat. Eloy had a pretty good game at the plate, but nobody else really hit. Vaughn choked twice with RISP and 2 outs.

Twice now in 3 weeks.

Well Kimbrel is throwing in the 8th. Like I said, the bullpen was fresh and they have a day off on Friday. No reason to hold guys back.

The point of the game isn't to blame the right party for losing the game. The point of the game is to win. As the manager you gotta realize your offense isn't gonna score on a given day, don't throw your 5th or 6th best option so he can give up the lead when the rest of your bullpen is pretty fresh and rested.

3-3 against the Twins, 2-5 against the Royals after the ASB.

We have an off day on Friday. It really doesn't make a ton of sense to not have Hendriks or Kimbrel pitch for nearly a whole week before one of the biggest regular season games of the year.

If only we can loan some runs from Monday night.
