  1. Lefties teeing off Urena.
  2. A lot of hard contact off Lucas so far.
  3. Nice play by Eaton
  4. Damn Robert might have COVID?
  5. Fuck Eaton is hurt.
  6. Good thing Candelario whiffed.
  7. Tim is so good when he goes opposite field.
  8. Lucas only threw 2 changeups that inning to righties. I don't think the Boston start should make him throw it that much less. His slider is not that good of a pitch.
  9. How is wanting everything to be correct instant gratification? The umpire's job is literally to get as many calls correct as possible. Not make mistakes along the way to give the game a human element.
  10. At that rate, we're gonna lose 8 games due to bad umpiring alone.

Their pitching is overachieving by quite a bit. Duffy has a ERA under 0.50, but his Baseball Savant page is half blue. His xERA is almost 4. He's throwing harder than before, but he always his issues staying healthy. I think at the end of the season Brady Singer is gonna be their best pitcher. Nothing about their roster quality jumps out at you. They may luck their way to above .500 record if everything goes their way, but I really doubt they can win 90+ games. Edit: after reading over what I wrote again, Danny Duffy reminds me a lot of Carlos Rodon. Oft-injured lefties who are throwing harder this year and aren't likely to sustain the massive success they've had early on.
  12. The TV ones aren't the most accurate either. The most accurate one is actually on MLB Gameday according to Ump Scorecards.

https://blogs.fangraphs.com/nick-madrigal-is-good-can-he-be-great/ TLDR: Nick is already a good hitter, but to be a great hitter, he's gotta sprinkle in like 5 homers a year.
  14. If the bullpen was as good as it was last year, this team would probably be 16-5.
  15. I think we need to be 5 games over by the end of the homestand. Anything less would be disappointing.
  16. It's not a coincidence.
  17. I'd rather see Foster than Ruiz, but ?
  18. The bats definitely went to bed after the 4th inning.
  19. lmao I guess he was playing around with his lips between innings.
  20. Ump wants to go home. Unfortunately our pitchers aren't getting some those calls on the corners.
  21. Need to get a run here to get it out of slam territory. That's where Ruiz shines.
  22. They're going the Sale route. Unfortunately, Sale had 2 really good pitches besides his fastball. Crochet is only dominant if he throws 100+. His off-speed stuff isn't good enough if he only throws 96-97.
  23. Crochet is lucky he didn't give up 3 runs that inning. Looks like he's got a cut on his hand.
  24. TLR had nobody warming?
