  1. I actually think the Knicks have a legit shot at the Heat, after the Big 3, the Heat are garbage. If Chandler comes up big, we can have a series go down the wire.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 10:31 AM) He thinks EVERYONE is slighting him. He has always had the attitude that anyone and everyone is trying to stop him from succeeding. He was a notorious asshole as OSU the first few years and Matta would routinely kick him out of practice. Theres actually alot of info on it in Titus's book. McCamey and Turner f***ing hated Rose though in HS, for good reason, D Rose dominated their faces. http://blogs.suntimes.com/preps/2007/02/wa..._derrick_r.html Great read, let me share this doozy from the comments section Me thinks this person sucks at talent evaluation, lol.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 08:20 AM) Hopefully this pisses some guys off... http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/...nd-nba-playoffs Meh, Evan Turner will go out the way Danny Granger and his Pacers did last year, in 5 games. Right now the 76ers wouldn't get past any EC team except maybe the Howard-less Magic
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 09:33 AM) The Pacers will knock off the Heat in Round 2. Book it. I think the team with the best shot of knocking off Miami in the east besides Chicago is the Celtics. The Pacers can certainly beat up the Heat though
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 07:46 AM) The Bulls are really in the heads of the Heat at this point. They had to go all bad boys on them. Miami had no self-control last night. The playoffs ought to be fun. I agree, you know Miami wanted to bury the Bulls, instead the Bulls kept hanging around and if Chicago just had an avg shooting night, the Bulls could've won...without Rose...in Miami. Bulls hit just 2 of 16 3pt shots and overall hit 35%, missing a lot of open jumpers.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) Bulls gased. No legs. That would explain the horrid shooting, wide open jumpers bricking all over the place. I knew the Bulls weren't gonna win without Rose in Miami...one up on the loss column, need to hang on.
  7. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) The difference is they get in the face of the refs after every non call until the refs give them a call. They never went out out to the media and claim to be the only person in the league not to get a call. I am all for D Rose complaining more about calls, but there are proper ways to do it. And I am just pointing out that there are a lot more Anti Derrick Rose sentiment this season because of some of his comments to the media. MJ was by most accounts a dick as a team mate and an arrogant a-hole, yet the media and people in general loved him. Rose is humble and down to earth and if some people are going to dislike him because of some quotes, who cares.
  8. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 09:13 AM) There is complaining, and there is over exaggerating. Some of his complaints are the most well worded. Comments like "I got to be the only superstar in the league to not get any calls" aren't going to win him any media or fan support. DWade and Bron are masters of ref b****ing and guess what, they go to the FT line a lot.
  9. QUOTE (SouthSideTeacher @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) OMG. I've never seen a call this close. (Bulls win 96-86) Carjack the Delorean and make a run for the Almanac much?
  10. Or the Bulls can use Rose as a decoy when LBJ is on him, you gotta trust your team mates, Rose doesn't need to do it all himself late in games. It would be nice if Rose could move without the ball, catch a pass and quickly attack the basket from different angles (Wade did this a few times tonight), not just from the top of the key with LBJ squared up on him. What I see right now is ball movement stopping too often when Rose gets the ball, kinda like Melo...need to stop that.
  11. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) I might be over confident but I believe the Bulls win tonight comfortably. Bulls 97 Heat 86 Was off by 1 pt
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 09:18 AM) I cannot wait for this game tonight. Then the Hawks. I guess I need some beer. I might be over confident but I believe the Bulls win tonight comfortably. Bulls 97 Heat 86
  13. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 12, 2012 -> 06:48 AM) What are everyone's thoughts on Boston right now? Celtics match up well with the Heat, they have a clear advantage over them in the PG/C position. Don't know if they can beat Miami but I think they can put a scare on them and take them to a 7th game. The Bulls on the other hand match up well vs Boston.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 03:14 PM) It just fell off of the front page. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83763 Mods, merge if necessary, ty.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) According to multiple media sources, the Prosecutor has called a 6:00 EST press conference to announce the charges against Mr. Zimmerman, whose location is currently unknown to investigators.
  16. In before Real Madrid completely choke away La Liga What happened to the previous soccer thread?
  17. QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) But I believe we would know it when someone steps over the line. I do not believe any of the examples you just gave would be worthy a suspension. Now wouldn't you want to suspend a manager who on 9/11 expressed regret that more people were not killed? Who on 12/7/41 cheered Japanese planes? Perhaps someone who believes that Hitler wasn't all wrong or who believes that handicapped infants should be euthenized? I can handle that slippery slope. What if said manager said he believes 9/11 was an inside job?
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 11:47 AM) hehehehe Yea, when I read my post, I saw that I should've wrote "I've seen"... Bastard
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 11:13 PM) Lawl. English skillz. At the risk of sounding like Greg, it's true Ozzie still struggles with the English language but it's understandable, he learned as an adult. When you listen to him in Spanish, it's clear he is no dummy, he's very articulate in his native language, I seen a lot of interviews of his in Spanish and it's a difference of night and day the way he expresses himself, that's why I think it's unfair to goof on him for the way he speaks English. On Chavez, we might find it hard to believe but Chavez is popular with the working class and the poor, the elite don't like him, so it's not very hard to understand why Ozzie would like Chavez, IIRC even Magglio Ordoñez has said he supports HC.
