I know it's still cool to hate on Bron but if he keeps playing like he has been this year, I wouldn't mnd him winning it all this year now that the Bulls are a non-factor. I would love for the Bulls to advance as far as they can but a Bulls/Heat ECFs will be a horrific beatdown, better for the Celtics to give it a shot. -
10 biggest injuries in Chicago Sports history

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 3, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) MJ retiring wasn't an injury. The Cutler thing - well, I get it, but they were still losing that game and playing like s*** on offense anyway. Somehow, Hanie played ok, as well. The Rose injury stopped cold a team in game one of the playoffs, and now we get an extended funeral. Yeah, after I posted I realized it was just about injuries but I was too lazy to change it... DRose jumps to #2 in my book Cutler was playing awful but when you lose by a TD, you would think maybe Cutler would connect on a play or two to change the outcome as our D picked up their play in the 2nd half. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 3, 2012 -> 08:46 PM) Well, I thought NY/Miami would be competitive. The Heat have officially flipped the switch. I'm a bit surprised how easily they are taking care of NY to be honest. They'll be tougher challengers up the road for Miami but the way LBJ is playing, he's gonna be tough to beat...oh and Miami's D is the best in the NBA playoffs right now. -

As bad as the Rose injury and the depression that set in for me was (I'm over it now), Cutler getting hurt in the NFC Championship game vs our most hated rival and eventually losing at home by a TD was the most soul crushing sports moment for me. MJ retiring the first time comes a close second. I guess the Rose injury is third on my list. -

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ May 1, 2012 -> 11:37 AM) So like, im kind of scared that Amare getting owned by a fire extinguisher case is a blessing in diguise for the knicks. I dont want the Carmelo Anthony show to start, i want an easy sweep. Dude, Rose missing the rest of the playoffs opens up the door for the Heat to make it to the Finals, don't get greedy... -

I'm thinking that the basketball gods hate us, a Rose less Bulls team can still compete and maybe get past the Celtics but they'll put up a good fight vs the Queer trio but they'll come up short, especially if you can't even breathe on Leb**** without sending him to the FT line. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) I agree that the refs were horrible in the first half. That aside, this is the Miami defense from the first half of the season. They're just stifling NY. That Heat defense does alot of grabbing and pushing and no calls, the Knicks breathe on LeBron and he shoots FTs, the refs go NY out of their game and ruined GM 1. I hope the media calls out these ducking refs so we can have a fairly called game, NY can hang with the Heatso long as the refs don't help them out. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) knicks are such a spineless team....theyve completely given up What do you want them to do, the f***ing refs will call any physical play the Knicks do against Miami, can't do anything when that happens. -

I've never seen seen a team get so much benefit of the doubt from the refs like this Heat, maybe the Lakers/Kings from early 2000s? -

28-5 FTs for Miami is just insane, the Knicks are attacking the rim and no fouls are called while you touch a Heat player and it's a foul. -

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 02:58 PM) If this knee injury is anything serious, Rose may never be the same player again. He's gone through toe, back, groin, foot, and ankle injuries this season, but the knee is the last body part I want to see damage on his body. Knee injuries has changed the careers of Brandon Roy, Oden, Jermain Oneal, Elton Brand, Mcgrady, Grant Hill, Michael Redd, Yao Ming and so on. As good as Chris Paul is this season, he is no longer the same player he was 3 years ago. And out of all those players, Rose requires his athleticism the most. At least point, I might actually prefer to shut him down the rest of the season to preserve his long term health. I agree with this. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) Yeah, this is a sweep all the way. This Philly team just does not have the offensive firepower to even make the Bulls sweat. Worst team in the playoffs, easily. Edit: forgot about the Howard-less Magic. So second worst team. I hope you're right about the sweep (would love the extra rest) but I could see Philly getting one in their house.
