  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjaHc9Vp9wU...be_gdata_player Mirotic draft report, I'm excited by his potential. I don't think he automatically puts us over the top but could be a major piece.
  2. QUOTE (Willard Decker @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 06:21 PM) Particularly when said trade discussions don't involve one. --Captain Decker +1
  3. Sooooo...what else is on?
  4. I hate SB halftime shows...just get to the 2nd half already dammit
  5. I thought Seattle would win but not in a beatdown.
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 31, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) I just don't see Denver being held under 28 points and I don't see Seattle scoring that many. Seattle 27 Denver 23
  7. Man, that sucks
  8. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) LBJ will be better than Durant for the next five years. Durant will play second fiddle, games in December in the NBA are meaningless except to those with little brother complexes that think they have to prove something, like the Bulls . Yeah, ok
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Gee, maybe he was tired from ALWAYS guarding KD? One-on-one, LeBron would destroy KD's frail little ass. If I have one game to win, I'm taking LeBron all day over KD, and I'm really tired of hearing otherwise. Maybe, maybe not but last I heard, they play 5-5. Starting a franchise right now, gimme a 25 year old Durant. LBJ may have already peaked, he's staring at 30 with a ton of mileage. Sure, he's durable but let's see if that holds up in his 30s. Get mad
  10. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:56 AM) Marquis Teague was your second favorite player? You gotta problem with that?
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 10:06 AM) The stat lines didn't indicate that KD outplayed LeBron last night, but holy s*** did his highlights look good. I only watched ESPN's highlights, so take that for what it's worth, but it looked like Durant was shooting (and making) 3s at will. Just taking it up the court and shooting it in LeBron's face.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:26 AM) Bulls beat Spurs last night. I was planning on going to this game but then Rose got hurt and my second favorite Bull got shipped off
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 29, 2014 -> 08:45 PM) I'm so glad LeBron/Durant have each other to measure themselves against, get motivated for, etc. MJ is the GOAT. But imagine if he had an equal or damn near an equal? He had nobody to push him to even greater heights. You just dissed Larry Bird and Magic Johnson... And the reason MJ seemed to have no equal was because he's the GOAT. As for LeBron, as good as he is, he still hasn't touched MJ level of greatness and the gap between him and Durant isn't really that wide IMO. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Durant will surpass LBJ as the best player in the NBA within the next couple of years.
  14. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 03:01 PM) My god, the amount of racism towards Macklemore and Ryan Lewis right now because they won a few rap categories last night at the Grammy's is ridiculous. So many ignorant people who want to keep music segregated. I guess I missed the large uproar last night on Twitter with Darius Rucker won a country music award, huh? Nah, it's because they suck. If you think they're good then you don't know good hip hop, bruh. Eminem has a s*** ton of grammys and there's no outcry over that because he's actually good...
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 09:19 AM) Almost and probable, but as I've said, GOAT players almost all had quality play well into their thirties. It is going to be the latter half that defines James. Larry Bird being the obvious exception.
  16. Goddam, does Duke ALWAYS has to have the contrarian unpopular opinion? Lol. I could make a thread about how cute puppies and kittens are and he'd no doubt post that they are evil or something. I straight believe he's just putting up an act and trolling the f*** out of us. I hope so, no human can be that dark...defending drunk driving, really Duke?
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 09:02 AM) But that would be all but three to meet your criteria. Top 5 all-time at this point is just a silly argument to make as a possibility for Kevin Durant. Fair enough, maybe KD is a stretch at this point but I think we can agree that James is almost a lock.
  18. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 08:50 AM) This isn't really a "hype machine". Durant has a higher PER, better o-rating, d-rating, scores more points on similar efficiency, grabs more RPG, gets more steals and blocks, and averages less turnovers. Lebron seems to be coasting, but it isn't hard to make an argument for Durant being the best player in the league this year. This isn't 2011 Derrick Rose. Again, I think Lebron is still better and it will show in the playoffs (maybe not the finals), but people are just saying it really isn't that far off. Maybe Durant goes in a slump and Lebron goes on a streak and all this changes back to Lebron being clear number 1. Right now, though, Durant is playing right with Lebron as best player in the league. Thank you
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 08:44 AM) I hate how quickly the world readily dismisses greats of the past. LeBron is already almost there, KD is only 25 and working on his 4th scoring title...it's not really out there to think they'll pass up more than a few NBA legends.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 08:39 AM) Wow, some of the s*** spouted in this thread last night was awful. People love to hate on LeBron. Durant has a few weeks of taking 30 shots per game and now suddenly he's better than LeBron. Get out of here. LeBron could score 40ppg for a season if he really wanted to (and in turn have a team that's not nearly as cohesive and wear himself out). Stop, now you're being just as silly as his haters. LeBron would never try that anyways, his beloved FG% would take a massive dive.
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:28 PM) Wasn't really that funny. That clip is used way more effectively most of the time. I concur...lame.
  22. I hope people here didn't take my post where I wrote that KD could overtake LBJ as the best player in the league as hating on LBJ. It was more of how much I think of Durant than anything else. Like I said, we might be seeing the best from LeBron, KD is nowhere near his peak IMO. The gap between them is getting smaller. Like Bird/Magic gave way to MJ, then Shaq took over, then it was Kobe and TimmyD's turn until LeBron from late 2000's until today, KD is clearly the next best player in the NBA, IMO. I could see both LeBron and KD (a 6'11 SF with those handles and shooting touch, amazing) ending up in the top 5 GOAT list when it's all said and done.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) Not really. Defense, passing/facilitating is still not close. LeBron could drop 30+ easy if he wasn't so efficiency obsessed. Come on J4L, LeBron is already staring at 30 while Durant is just in his mid 20's. LeBron's athletic prime will come to an end and it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts his game but he won't be head and shoulders better than younger cats by then. I see KD being top dog within the next 3 years the way he's improving season by season. We may already have seen the best of LeBron, I doubt that's the case with KD.
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:51 AM) This is all true but they're still not going anywhere. I guess I'm bitter but I still find no joy in this. Losing DR1 so early was morally devastating. I too find it hard to get excited.
