  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 02:02 AM) I honestly think Bosh would be thrilled if the Heat won the championship this year, and traded him during the summer. He gets his ring, and perhaps can spend the rest of his career attempting to regain some semblance of likability, while also trying to win one without those guys. I've heard a lot about Bosh being traded after the season, and I'd guess a combination of him being a different guy off the court than Wade and LeBron, his salary being so large while being the 3rd best player on the team, and the looming CBA bringing in stricter cap rules is why. I personally think trading Bosh would be a mistake because Wade isn't going to hold up much longer, and you end up with the same problems LeBron had in Cleveland if Bosh leaves and Wade isn't Wade anymore. Unless of course, you have a significant replacement lined up for Bosh, but that brings back all of the same cap issues if you do. Not to mention, trading one of your best players after winning a title is quite the risk. We'll be lucky if there even is a 2011-2012 NBA thread. I don't think it's babyish at all. I need to see the new CBA, whatever it is, before I really give up on it. And I don't think I could ever give up on the Bulls specifically (especially after sticking with them from 1999-2004), just everybody else. I stand by the fact that I think a Heat title plus a long lockout is going to equal an enormous amount of lost fans. It´s bad enough we have one on this forum, a bunch of them coming out of the woodwork would really be bad Seriously though, I don´t hate Bosh as much as the other 2, in fact, I would´ve loved Bosh here instead of Boozer, they´re both soft but at least Bosh could hit a 18 ft jumper consistently.
  3. Need to get at laest two runs here.
  4. Brent for president!!
  5. Melissa, Sauza? You should try Cuervo Tradicional or Corralejo.
  6. Just the fourth inning and I already have a six pack in me.
  7. Mark might have to pitch a no hitter from this inning on.
  8. WTF? No run is gonna score?
  9. Rios might break at bat over his head.
  10. Dreaded lead-off walk dont mean so much if they dont cross home plate.
  11. Anyone know how long Paulie is gonna be out?
  12. Hawk and Stone Pony havent mentioned anything on Rios, we all saw it on tv.
  13. I agree with BigHurt, it's gotten to the point where we already consider the Heat a dynasty.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:42 AM) This has been one of the most entertaining seasons of NBA in 15 years and not just because of the Bulls. If people stop watching because the Heat win it all, that is sad. I hope last nights choke is the game that stands out most when the series is said and done because they will have lost. This I hate the Heat and LBJ as much as the next guy (I really thought he was gonna be a Bull last summer), but I don´t get why people say they´ll stop watching if they win, they are not invincible, nor will they ever be, they ain´t the 86 Celtics. The Heat will probably win a ship or 2, really impossible to know how many but they will also lose these next few years and it´s gonna be fun watching the Bulls and Heat go at it.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 03:02 PM) Two things - first, the Magic would never deal Dwight to another Eastern Conference team, second, I refuse to speculate on the destination of any superstars in the NBA ever again. Just look to Gerry's sig for a reminder of why. Maybe he´ll pull a LeBron, like keep the Magic front office in the dark and take his talents to the Windy City as a free agent to combat the Evil 3
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 02:49 PM) Shaq's been pretty insignificant for at least 3 years. Especially the last two. Clearly a case of a guy that doesn't know when it's time to let go. And there was a decent article on Yahoo! talking about it wouldn't be surprising at all if Shaq were to attempt a comeback later in the season next year (assuming there is one). With that said, he's a top 3 C and top 10 player overall. His peak of '98 through '02 was as good a peak as I've seen besides you know who. And to think he only has 1 MVP award, that´s insane.

  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 02:08 PM) Like I've said, Kevin Martin would be amazing. He's one of the best pure shooters in the league and he gets to the stripe so damn often and is obviously lethal from there as well. Derrick Rose would have a boner every game with the extra amount of room he'd have. That alone would be reason enough to NOT have Martin here, who wants to see Rose with a hard on all game long? NOT ME!
  19. After reading all these hypothetical trade scenarios, I don´t envy Forman´s job.The moves he makes this upcoming off season will be the difference between putting the Bulls in position to knock off Miami or being just another EC team nipping on the Heat´s ankles and ultimately failing. Either that or we can hope Dan Gilbert sends some thugs to do a Tanya Harding on LBJ.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 07:34 PM) Dude was one of the two to three best PG's in the league for a while in Sacremento. I didn't know he was that good, I still kinda ignored the NBA after the chairman and his lackey ran out MJ, Pip and PJax out of town, I would just watch the playoffs in those years. I do remember that Kings/Lakers series where the refs handed LA the WCF.That sucked...
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 04:58 PM) Bibby's contract in 2002 was worth 90.5M. If Bibby wasn't an idiot with his money, he should be set for life with or without $5M. The emotional satisfaction of winning a championship will likely have a bigger impact on his life than 5M. lol, who was stupid enough to pay Bibby that kind of money?I never knew he got that kind of bank, makes sense now, lol
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) You're telling me there is no combination of 3 players out there that could be better than Miami's big 3? I know it´ll never happen but pair up DRose, Durant and DHoward and that is greater than the Miami Big Three...I know, not gonna happen but I can dream.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) If the CBA stays as-is, I have no doubt that's exactly what would happen. Their bench would fill out happily with the MLE and veterans exemptions every year, they'd be the deepest team in the NBA next year from guys who are free agents and want a ring, and they'll be in a position to have lots of expiring deals every year. They couldn't do it this year prior to the season because they had to actually sign the little 3, but they were able to wrap things up once the season got underway and other teams started making cuts. Mike Bibby turned down $5 million in exchange for a ring and he's going to get it. Good for him but... I don´t get why players would turn down so much money for a ring, especially considering that they are role players and probably didn´t make a ton of money in their prime years...I hate to sound greedy but I´d make as much money as I can as a player especially since we know a sports career is essentially over by your mid to late 30s.Guys like Barkley and Malone chasing rings I get, they made top dollar in their prime, but Bibby?
  24. Hopefully Shaq joins Chuck on TNT, that would be great TV, I always thought Shaq was funny.
