QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) So is Carmelo Anthony overrated or the package the Nuggets got back underrated? The Knicks are 9-12 since the trade and the Nuggets are 15-4. I get that the Knicks dealt whatever depth they had in that deal, but I've never really felt that Carmelo was one of the better players in the game. He just seems to be all name and just a little game. This Melo=overrated

Gotta get me some MLB.TV, and I mean like right now! -
2 great games tonight, no matter the outcome between Boston or SA, we either gain ground or get more separation... let´s go Mavs!

They are up 92-68 and Thibs yelling at his players like it's a tied ball game, gotta love it.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 04:36 PM) "Oh my god, this media member who likes to sensationalize things said that a small point guard who shoots too much is just like this HOF caliber other point guard that shot too much! But the first one isn't selfish at all, all of the numbers just disagree because stats are stupid!" That's basically all I'm hearing. Look at the numbers, the comparison to AI (on the court) is a fair one, and one that Bulls fans should LOVE to see. AI was a hell of a player, someone that you should hope Rose can be as good as. The point about wanting his own fame is something that wasn't in that video you posted, and I don't really have an opinion on it one way or another. Also, before people start b****ing about Laimbeer's comments about Rose and Jordan, he said nothing wrong. The comment saying he "didn't care about either of them" isn't great, but what do you expect from a former Piston during that time? The rest of the quote in these articles wasn't wrong in the least, and wasn't really critical of Rose. lol, I couldn't care less what that asshole thinks of either Jordan or Rose...he's still bitter about that 4-0 sweep to end their championship run so f*** him.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 05:37 PM) Why is it some severe insult for Rose to be compared to Iverson? Iverson was a hell of a f***ing player. A little inefficient offensively, sure, but guess what? So is Rose. Nothing he said in that clip was overtly wrong, unless you're getting pissy about his opinion that Rose won't win 6 titles, in which case you need to wake up and smell the roses. My beef with that comparison is that it's not the first time Cowherd has compared DR1 with AI, and it's always in a negative way like saying DR1 didn't want LeBron (which is false).Cowherd claims that DR1 is AI because he wants his own fame and doesn't care about winning titles and anyone that knows Rose knows that he wants to win above all else, DR1 is NOT a selfish player, that's my beef with that comparison...this is from Cowherd. Nobody says Rose isnt star. NBA has dozens of those. he” ll just never be lebron or wade (Miami Heats Dwyane Wade), howard. Everybody in league wants to play w them thats it. Rose wants his OWN fame. the ‘GET IT’ guys like lebron, wade. kobe (Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant), K.G. (Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett) want rings. Iverson wanted own fame 2 And no, I don't think Rose will win 6 titles...I'm hoping for 1 or maybe 2 because I know winning 6 titles like MJ did was something really special. BTW, why does Cownerd include LBJ as a GET IT guy when he hasn't won anything?Last time I checked he hadn't won a title...

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 12:55 PM) I just listened to it and I really didn't disagree that much Colin (and I generally hate him). Rose/AI are very similar players, and he was right that LeBron is a better player than Rose. Now I think Rose will get a championship or two, but I don't think he will match Kobe let alone MJ in championships. I doubt LBJ matches Kobe or MJ too.

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=6269330 This guy just won't stop...DR1 isn't Iverson and LeBron isn't MJ you douche bag. DR1 shoots too much right now because we have no SG, when we get one, you'll see Rose shoot less.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 10:33 AM) I think what we all learned from the Bulls game yesterday is that Melissa1334 is not allowed to go to Bulls games anymore This On a side note, am I the only one worried the Heat just might catch us?They have a really weak schedule and I can see them win out the rest of the way (they are awesome against the crappy teams). We can't afford to have crapfests like yesterday when the Spurs are on a free fall.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:08 PM) Mourning was only 6'10". So was Moses Malone but that didn't matter, they were shot blockers nonetheless...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:05 PM) Just watched that Rose MVP vid. Who would've thought Stacey King's largest contribution to the Bulls franchise would be as an announcer. Hey, don't forget Stacey King was huge in Game 6 vs Portland in the Finals, leading the second unit in the 4th down 17 points

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Just a few hall of famers in there.... And some serious shot blockers that you didnt even list. Not to mention they were allowed to mug players in the paint on the perimeter back then. Yeah, those old Celtics, Pistons and Knicks teams had some real mean SOBs guarding the paint...in today's NBA, MJ would average 40 a night.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) Not my friend, this was a group. lol. Dumbest comment lately was this dude saying Kobe > Jordan and then attempting to back it up by asking how many legit 7 foot centers Jordan had to drive on. Such an appallingly stupid statement that I didn't know where to start. Another moron paraded in and said "Kobe > Jordan, stats don't lie." lol. I told him I'd spot him three point %, pick any of Kobe's stat anywhere and I'll trump it easily with Jordan's stat. Any one of them. Just off the top of my head, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Walton, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Moses Malone, Rick Smitts, Shaquille O'Neal, Robert Parrish, Mark Eaton, Dikembe Mutombo...might be missing a few more but damn.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) If it's the former, then I'm giving the nod to Dwight. He changes everything about the games Orlando plays. Their whole system is built around him offensively, and defensively he shuts off the paint from anyone on the other team. DBAH0 watches the Magic way more than I do, but every time I see them play, there's no doubt to me that Dwight significantly changes how both teams approach the game. Yet they are 6-4 the last 10 games...MVPs should be leading their teams to victories above stats IMO.

Late to the party but my fave moment hands down was MJ breaking down on Father's Day while clutching the game ball after winning his 4th NBA title...it always chokes me up when I watch that. My next favorite sports moments are Sweetness breaking the all time rushing record (screw Emmitt Smith) and the White Sox winning it all in 05.
