  1. James isn't the same player he was a couple of years ago but he's still durable (injurywise)
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 8, 2015 -> 08:56 PM) The way he attacked Rose with 7 seconds left was like a man who had no fear of a foul call Why should he, he probably needs to punch someone for it to be called a foul, especially in crunch time. I don't care what J4L says MJ wasn't babied by the refs to the extent that James is. LeBron uses his off hand to create space or just knocks players over to get to the rim and he hardly ever get's called for it.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ May 8, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) I still don't think we can win the series if the calls are going to go this way. I'm not going to say they're trying to f*** us, but they're f***ing us nonetheless This x 1,000,000 They will just not call James with a foul no matter what he does. That was some blatant ref s*** in the 4th, and I'm one who doesn't like b****ing about referees but that outright disgusting. Against all that garbage, the Bulls still found a way to pull it out, I'm so proud of these guys
  4. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ May 8, 2015 -> 07:05 PM) That's now 3 calls in the last 2 games that Rose has lost to Lebron because Lebron is the official league poster child. LeBron should easily be in foul trouble, they let him get away with barrelling over people and using his off hand to push off on offense.
  5. Just got seriously outworked, you'd think they'd try and bring the hammer down and put up the extra effort to really put their foot on the Cavs throat with the supposed immense dislike some of the Bulls players have for LeBron.
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ May 3, 2015 -> 01:26 PM) While it's pretty presumptuous to think this way, I've been dreading the potential Bulls-Wiz matchup in the ECF more than Bulls-Hawks ..........
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 28, 2015 -> 11:16 AM) ESPN Stats & Info ‏@ESPNStatsInfo 6m6 minutes ago Cavaliers say it is "highly unlikely" Kevin Love will return for the playoffs They're even talking about surgery...if that's the case, he's done for this postseason.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 04:15 PM) Despite a crazy JR Smith game and garbage heaves falling, Bulls were still in it. Rose kills CLE and I'm confident we'd win a series vs them. This game was nothing like a playoff game with these two clubs will be. Of course if the Bulls would've won, J4L would've reminded everyone that it's just a RS game, lol. But Cleveland won so obviously the Bulls have no shot... I still love our chances...depends a lot on Rose though.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 26, 2015 -> 09:20 AM) Yes, but that is because I haven't been properly coached.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 25, 2015 -> 08:11 AM) I think I will have my dad call George McCaskey and tell him what I great guy I am, I haven't ever even been accused of beating or raping a woman. I will work for the minimum. I will even pay for my own gas to meet in Halas Hall. You suck at football though...
  11. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 6, 2015 -> 04:57 PM) the great Tim Floyd Or how PJax would refer to him as Pink
  12. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 5, 2015 -> 10:57 PM) Jordanesque to durants Pippen Yeah, that's just silly. KD is the better player, 4x scoring champion and last year's MVP. A lot of fans are prone to being prisoners of the moment. Harden is a legit MVP candidate this season (Westbrook would be too if he didn't miss as many games as he has) and Durant is the reigning MVP. OKC had these three guys, that's just insane.
  13. QUOTE (shysocks @ Feb 26, 2015 -> 09:38 AM) That'll show him. Lol
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 04:37 PM) Kerr played under Phil Jackson and Pop, two of the best coaches in the history of the game, he was a broadcaster for 5-6 years, he was a GM for a number of years...I mean, he's been in and around the NBA for the last 25+ years. Hoiberg can't say the same thing. The knowledge base is completely different. Also under Lenny Wilkins
  15. Looking at the bright side, JBuckets thrived as the man earlier in the season. It's gotta be f***ing karma from the 90s Bulls dynasty that were fortunate to not have to many big injuries through their six title runs. This Bulls team can't stay healthy, it isn't only DRose (sure he's our franchise player and has gotten the most serious injuries) but it wouldn't surprise me at all if a couple of our other major players get hit with injuries before the playoffs. This f***ing sucks
  16. Jerome Kersey passed away at 52 He used to throw down some mean dunks back in the day...RIP
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 16, 2015 -> 06:09 PM) This. You could replace LeBron with '91 MJ or '00 Shaq and the Heat still get dusted by the Spurs. They were that good. I disagree, the Spurs were pushed to seven games in the first round by the Mavs, they might've of not gotten out of the West if Ibaka never gets hurt. It's more a testament of how stacked the West was and how awful the East was (Indiana, lol). If the East actually had great competition, the Heat wouldn't have made the Finals, stick them out West and they weren't sniffing that fourth Finals in a row. The Spurs beating OKC in 6 tough games was your real Finals last year. The '13-'14 San Antonio Spurs were good but they're not even the best version of their previous championship teams. BTW, LeBron is smart staying in the East, he's been to 5 Finals but two of those times, ('07 Cavs and '14 Heat) he had no business being in the Finals with those teams, proof being his teams got mauled in the championship round.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) He's shooting 41% from the field and 32.5% from 3 and getting to the line just over 3 times per game for a ts% of .488 in '15. For a point of reference, old, fat, unathletic MJ, his last year with the Wizards, had a ts% of 49.1. Come on J4L, Rose is coming back from 2 major knee injuries and losing 2 years of basketball. I said it at the begining of this season, don't expect Rose to be anywhere his MVP level this season, maybe even into next season but as long as he doesn't suffer anymore major setbacks, he will get to, or close to his MVP level again. The Bulls are good enough to compete for a title if he gets to 75%-85% this postseason with enough flashes of his 10-11 version. He needs to play smarter though, stop shooting so many threes for one. Shoot more mid-range Js, be more of a field general assists PG (he has offensive weapons at his disposal) and attack the rim for his shot and others in crunch time. Just letting the game come to him instead of forcing the issue.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2015 -> 05:41 PM) And on the other side you had guys with these "fundamental" skills that couldn't play dead back in the 80's and 90's because they were lacking everywhere else. You'll always have scrubs or guys that can't play no matter the era. But give me the physically gifted, athletic freaks with the higher ceiling over the fundamental dudes with a limited ceiling all day, every day. Of course, ideally, you'd like a combination of both. I can agree to that. But the last champs prove that fundamentals will always be an integral part of good basketball and IMO, more important than freakish raw athletic ability, aside from Leonard, who else on the Spurs would anyone consider athletically gifted? Even on those dynasty Bulls aside from Jordan and Pippen and maybe Grant and an older Rodman, I'd be hardpressed to call anyone else an elite athlete. You're right though, a combination of great athleticism and a decent skillset has a higher level than flat footed elite fundamentals guys, it's just infuriating in my eyes that a player like DHoward can look like a doofus inside with his horrible low post footwork. Olajuwon, never known for his elite athleticism, would destroy Howard prime vs prime. I think I would take above average athleticism combined with an elite skillset...
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) Jordan*jocker*alert!!! Extreme hyperbole on your part for some reason. Nobody suggested any of what you said here. But the fact of the matter is the league as a whole dwarfs the 80's, 90's, s***, even the early 2000's from an athleticism standpoint. As training methods, medicine, etc, continue to improve/advance, it'll be even crazier 10 years from now. That's all I was saying. Being called a Jordan jocker by someone who named himself Jordan4Life, doe True, there's a much bigger emphasis on athleticism in the NBA than before but there is also a noticeable drop in fundamental skills. You have a bunch of guys in the league today who can run and jump out of the building but do pretty much nothing else. What I want to say, and I've had these discussions on other hoop forums, is that while athletes in general do get bigger and faster with modern sports training and medicine, it doesn't necessarily make them better basketball players. Someone like Larry Bird will be great no matter when he plays because of the high hoops IQ and the elite skillset he had. I firml believe the 86 Celtics would manhandle the LA Clippers if they played a 7 game series. Also, athletic freaks with a great skillset like Wilt, Shaq, MJ or LeBron will always be an outlier, every generation produces that one player who has the combination of great athleticism and great skillset. Just because you can run really fast and jump through the roof doesn't mean you're actually a good NBA player...
  21. QUOTE (kev211 @ Feb 15, 2015 -> 08:08 AM) Can athletes really get any better than this? At what point does the human body peak? By 2025, every small guard will be a better than Jordan, fowards like LeBron will be a dime a dozen and centers like Shaq will be the norm. They'll be taking off from the three point line for dunks. Just like in the modern age, guys like KLove will be rendered useless, what hope does he have to pull down rebounds against such athletic freaks? Steve Nash type players won't win MVPs since he won his MVPs like 50 years ago, Paul Pierce is so lucky he wasn't born in 2000...
  22. Big win. Hopefully this quiets all the silly "fire Thibs" nonsense...well until they lose their next regular season home game.
  23. So if Reggie Miller is in the HOF, the Hawks DO have a future HOFer, Kyle Korver anyone? Commence crapping of pants fellow Bulls fans...
  24. QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) They're a very good regular season team. Great teamwork and lots of effort. I don't see them doing much in the playoffs though. I can't think of any teams making or winning the finals without a hall of famer on their roster. Maybe the mid 2000s Pistons, but I think a guy or two makes the hall off those teams Just out of curiosity, who do you think is HOF worthy? The Wallaces? Chauncey Billups? I just don't see it...
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 02:07 PM) Warren Sapp arrested for soliciting a prostitute at 7 AM in Phoenix. You are a Hall of Famer at the Super Bowl, and you need to try to pay for some strange? You are doing something wrong, C'mon Man! It's not like he's a household name though. To us football fans, yeah we know who he is but show a picture of him to 20 random chicks and I'll be shocked if one of them knows who he is. It's not like he's on Micheal Strahan's level of celebrity among females. I don't get why people pay close attention to Super Bowl ads, I know it's a thing but I pay about the same attention as I do to commercials all year long which is hardly. I did catch that Nationwide ad and it was depressing, right away I was glad I don't have a pool and my TV is not that high off the floor, lol. Oh and Bevell, stay classy bro.
