  1. They’ll go significantly overslot at 41. It’s overwhelmingly likely to be a prep player with that strategy.
  2. I’d be totally stunned if pick 41 isn’t a high school player
  3. I’m not sure it was as simple as, “Sox don’t want to trade in division”: It was more nuanced than that. Twins wanted money, Sox liked Dodgers deal better than what Minnesota would actually do etc. I’d heard the day before the trade happened that the Reds were offering Zach Maxwell straight up for Robert. No idea on $$.
  4. From what I understand, Twins and Sox talked about Fedde. Couldn’t agree on players. Twins wanted Sox to eat money and Sox needed Keashall to consider it. Twins weren’t interested.
  5. Mike Shirley was in attendance. Maybe this performance will prompt him to recommend someone else.
  6. I think he'll be up pretty quickly. I don't think Hagen develops his third pitch while throwing in the minors. There's just not enough opportunity to throw it No. He's the 2B. Acuna will basically be the every day CF. Antonacci is definitely pushing guys though. I'd be surprised if the Sox carried Lee. I'd also think Cannon gets optioned and they keep a R5 arm.
  7. I’d be shocked if Antonacci or McDougal made the team.
  8. No. He’s gonna be good. He’s not Konnor Griffin or JJ Wetherholt though
  9. By like midseason, yeah. Start in Winston this year, finish in AA. Big league invite to ST, start in AA or AAA with a call up basically at any time.
  10. I wrote some about Cholowsky and looked at White Sox potential bonus pool in Draft Notebook 2.0 today: https://www.futuresox.net/2026/02/22/white-sox-2026-mlb-draft-notebook-2-0/
  11. It will be pretty underwhelming unless he gets a lot better
  12. I doubt they negotiate with anyone. They’ll try and reach a deal with Roch or they’ll just take him anyway. He’s not going back to school.
  13. They’ll save plenty of money on Roch to overslot the next few rounds
  14. I’m expecting Aldrin Batista in the AA rotation as well.
  15. It’s a minors deal…..
  16. This doesn’t make any sense. One reason why St. Louis is where they are is their lack of pitching development. Brian Bannister fixed Fedde the first time. He’s probably the guy most likely to do it again.
  17. The owner fight will be bigger than the owner vs player fight imo. Some of these small market clubs won’t be willing to spend to whatever the salary floor would even be with a salary cap.
  18. And the league rewards the Tigers with competitive balance picks.
  19. Thy could still acquire one but it’s tough because only the small market contenders trade them. Only way for Sox to have a deep farm is by significant progress and consistent additions in international market.
  20. Yeah. I don’t think it matters where he pitches Big league deal. They can clear 3 spots tomorrow with Thorpe, Bush and Berroa.
  21. I'm guessing they'll go with: Smith, Martin, Kay, Burke and Fedde with Cannon, McDougal, Davitt, Sandlin and Schultz in AAA
  22. Eisert and Murphy both have options
  23. Good point. There's a big teacher shortage. Plenty of opportunities for you if we have it so great.
