  1. It wasn't what was right though. Waiting made sense. It hasn't worked out.
  2. Chris Getz would've been eviscerated if he traded Robert in his first winter on the job. They wouldn't have gotten close to enough. It made sense to wait. It hasn't worked out.
  3. Disagree. What do you think someone gives up for 4 years of Luis Robert after a 5 WAR season? More than they'd give up now for sure but I doubt it would've been enough to not wait.
  4. Houston is too imo. I'd still prefer a shortstop.
  5. I have Daniel Pierce in my mock draft this week. Billy Carlson would be a dream scenario. I wonder if they’d go overslot to float him down.
  6. Not possible. He has no options. This was just never realistic unfortunately. Chris Getz in his first offseason as GM wasn’t going to be able to get value for 4 years of Luis Robert coming off a career year. It is unfortunate though.
  7. He’s a first baseman imo and hits right handed. He needs to absolutely mash or he’s probably just nothing unfortunately.
  8. I don’t trust any hitters from Wake Forest. Houston will stay at shortstop but I just don’t think he’ll impactful offensively. They did this in 2023 already. Take a prep hitter unless someone falls.
  9. Barring someone falling, I wouldn’t be surprised to see $11 million spent on top 3 picks. $6 million at 11, $3 million at 44 and $2 million at 76.
  10. I meant that he can really hit but can't play shortstop
  11. Can he really hit but won’t play shortstop
  12. McDaniel had Rays taking him at 37 in his mock today.
  13. The only money that can be traded is from current period. They had $543K left and traded $500K to Houston. They needed the cash for the player they signed a couple weeks back.
  14. Odds get reconfigured. So the bottom two teams, Sox and Pirates right now have 22% odds at #1 pick and 3rd team is Baltimore with 17%. Rockies will pick 10th no matter what and Angels and Nats likely 11-12.
  15. I’d feel much differently if he didn’t already have Tommy John.
  16. I meant that his mechanics were off from what they were like before. Soreness was definitely a concern but he's fine
  17. He was flying way open in his delivery and his stuff wasn't as good. That's why he needed to go to Arizona for biomechanics work. They didn't have an issue with delivery otherwise
  18. He’s not injured though. MRI was clean and he’s pain free. White Sox believe that mechanics caused the elbow soreness.
  19. Who is Jim Riley? Also, I doubt that the Padres could take on Luis Robert’s salary.
  20. He’s not hurt. Having some mechanical issues
  21. We could at least spell the man’s name correctly.
  22. Of course not but that’s the name of the game. I don’t think he takes the job unless he has the ability to do what he wants.
  23. David Keller referenced finding impact talent that the club doesn't have access to in free agency as part of international strategy. They'll be going after kids. The biggest issue is that deals are basically signed through 2028 already.
  24. They think it’s mechanical. We’ll see if they’re right
