Developed him how? Doesn’t he have like 12 total minor league innings to his name, all of which came last year? And Crochet looked amazing today which is great to see. But him going deep in one start doesn’t change the concerns about his ability to handle a significant workload as a starter. If he can go five innings every start over the course of a season that would theoretically be amazing, but it would be unprecedented and likely result in an injury at some point. As such, it’s way too early to make any calls here. I think we can agree we all want this to work, it’s just more of a matter if this approach will work. Me being wrong here would be fantastic though.

The offense with 8 K’s & 0 BB’s, so much for “controlling the strike zone on both sides of the ball” in year 2 of Pedro.

Could be and I get that Getz was limited in what he could do, but this team is destined to suck due to a complete lack of offense. And that’s ok as long as they cut bait on the veteran placeholders once prospects prove ready.

Unfortunately it all fell apart in the offseason when Getz decided he wouldn’t even pretend to care about offense.

I said it before, but would feel much better with anyone but Pedro overseeing this conversion to starter. Just don’t think he’s smart enough to balance his workload appropriately vs. trying to win games.

Don’t disagree, but hard to dislike Hahn’s deadline deals. Very out of character for him in terms of quality.

That was KW…Hahn probably had his best one week stretch as GM of the White Sox leading up to last year’s deadline.

I really can’t stand how the broadcast team is going to push Maldonado down our throats, almost feels insulting to the fanbase to think we can’t tell he’s over the hill.

Seems like those of you attending should have a decent day weather wise for Chicago in March. I still have nightmares from the last Opening Day I attended that was delayed for several hours and then ultimately cancelled despite the Sox doing the stupid pre-game Chevy bullshit.
