  1. Gray had a 5+ ERA coming into today and is carving us up Bruce Chen style right now. Glad Hahn didn’t think adding a left-handed bat was important.
  2. Offense looks like they’ve checked it in for the day. Hopefully they prove us wrong.
  3. Yeah I was confused why he didn’t just tag that guy out
  4. Got to hope for a Pito walk and a Burger blast here.
  5. Seriously…kudos for giving us two quality innings. That might be it for him today.
  6. Let’s hope the offense can off to a hot start as we’re going need quite a few runs
  7. Yeah, he seemed to moving fairly all things considered when he walked off the field. Hopefully he just misses a start or two.
  8. What the fuck happened to Kopech and how bad did it look? I just got home and missed what happened. At least he was able to exit on his own two feet.
  9. At some point we may need to give him a look
  10. AA has been a big challenge for Popeye
  11. Not overly terrible although Leury should firmly be in the nine spot.
  12. The team has really manager the IL horribly this year with way too many man down days on the active roster.
  13. Yeah, I don’t want to give Hahn a free pass, but La Russa definitely influenced certain roster decisions. And as was evident with the Mark Kotsay / rotating DH fiasco years back, Jerry will occasionally push the front office to do it the manager’s way.
  14. Theses things aren’t mutually exclusive though. The players can underperform and our manager can suck balls and ultimately both cost us games. I feel pretty strongly that we’d have claim to the 7th playoff spot right now under any other competent manager. Tony himself has literally cost us multiple games with his shitty in-game decision-making alone and god only knows what the true impact of his lifeless leadership style. Firing him won’t fix everything, the players clearly need to be better, but it 100% improves our chances of winning on a game to game basis and could inject some much needed life into a team hanging on by the tiniest of threads.
  15. I’m feeling pretty good about today barring a Sunday lineup special.
  16. The manager completely lacks any sense of urgency. Like why the fuck is he using Sousa & Lambert in 2 run and tie ball games. Fucking insanity.
  17. What should we be doing with Yaz? Does shutting him down for a few weeks help?
  18. Who do you have rated higher? Montgomery obviously, but are you suggesting Colas, Vera, & Sosa as well?
  19. I love your takes on prospects, but got to disagree with you here James. Ramos is a legit talent and a .190 ISO isn’t bad for a barely 20 year old in A+, especially when he’s got good raw power and plus bat speed.
  20. I really like you Tex but it’s unfortunate you constantly feel the need to play contrarian.
  21. I’ve said so many times, but the worst managers are the ones who actually love inserting themselves into games:
