USA played wonderfully today. Should be a good game against Spain.

Man, the vuvuzela has to be the most annoying instrument on earth. I hope FIFA bans them for the world cup.

Wow Italy is getting spanked. If the US can notch another goal or two they might have a chance to move on.

QUOTE (Cubano @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 11:22 PM) Let me remind you that all these rogue states promote anti-USA policies around the world. In others words, they would destroy us if they could. We do not know what they do under the table for terrorists, etc.

That could have been much worse. Lots of shots off target for Brazil.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 08:42 AM) Without looking it up, the Dutch may have already qualified, so you may not get to see their full team at 100% in those matches. But ya it is August/September and i'll say there are some potential very interesting scenarios setting up in those tables right now. Yeah they have. I'd still like to get a looksie at the team. US line up looks much better for this match against Brazil. Let's go USA.

Iran has also been eliminated from the WC. When do the euro matches start again? August? I don't think the dutch play again until early September, really want to get a better look at that team.

We want change
Inflation will remain in check until the economy recovers. Probably until early next year. Inflation is caused by an increase in aggregate demand and that's not something we've seen yet though the creep up in oil prices would seem to indicate that it will be coming. There's a pretty interesting debate going on at Paul Krugmann's blog about that this week with a Harvard economist.

I guess Iraq did too. Alaa, their forward, looked pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised to see him playing in Europe sometime soon. Villa is now the #2 goal scorer for Spain behind Raul. Next up is South Africa on Saturday. Let's see how they do this afternoon against New Zealand. I'm sure both teams will be looking to bounce back.

Oh and FWIW the game is pretty difficult, you really have to use hit and run tactics most of the time because the enemy spawns will just get bigger and stronger if you hang around.

Is anyone else watching Iraq v Spain this morning? Iraq has lined up with 6 defenders. hahahahha.

Artie Lange vs. Joe Buck's on JB's Live HBO show
Oh come on. You guys bought this? Super controversy on his first episode ever? Of course they staged this s*** to try to hook some suckers in. They knew exactly what they were getting when they booked Artie Lange.

Between getting lousy calls from terrible refs you guys do not help yourselves at all with the starting line ups/subs. Even down a man Italy was struggling against US until they subbed in Rossi who was basically the beneficiary of a very tired US team.

3-1 final. US looked tired at the end there. Don't understand some of the substitutions/starting line up. After watching Brazil this morning, and now Italy, I don't really see a team in this tournament that can expose Spain's defense. Brazil definitely looks on the decline despite some great young players like Kaka and Pato.

Why is he taken aback by it? Ahmadinejad = Bush and neocons = hardline islamists. Same close-minded idiots history should have left behind with a different name.
