  1. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) FIFY MY BAD. Thanks man
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 10:42 PM) The Sox are done if ... The starting pitching staff resembles the staff that pitched on that last road trip. Sad thing is if Floyd and Danks were effective and healthy this entire season we might have had a chance to win the division. Yeah, cuz we're DONE with 70+ games yet to play The Sox have a chance to make the playoffs as wildcard if ... The team has another nine or 10 game winning streak in it. I never thought the Sox could win that many in a row and they did it earlier this year. It also would help to win eight of every 10 at home the rest of the way because I think our road magic is gone. Team will be lucky to go .500 on road rest of the way after that pathetic road trip. As would most teams at any time of the year. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 04:51 AM) even if the sox make the post-season, they're one-and-done. detroit is hot right now. yankees or rangers will be in the world series IMO Man don't go too far out on that limb. You guys kill me, one bad road trip does not define a season. This team can compete, and will until the end.
  3. Yeah, and hopefully Danksy comes back hungry. We need him to be better than he's been this year, even when he was healthy. Obviously just getting him back in the rotation will be a boost to the team, but I want to see some game 162 type performances before this year is over!!
  4. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) the red sox are "cheating" on that sellout streak.... Explain please...??
  5. Very nice win. When the Twins loaded the bases with nobody out in the first, you couldn't help but think bad thoughts. Good job battling by the staff and real nice to see the meat doing big things again. Don't stop now boys.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) But in the AL, you can't have a 650 OPS when there are guys like CANO and most 2B are in the 725-800 OPS range. That's just giving away too much offense. I disagree, with all the other above average offensive weapons in this lineup I am very happy with having a sub-par offensive 2nd basemen who brings it defensively the way bacon does.
  7. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) He didn't, crowd here was indifferent small applause. Im guessing most peiple here never heard of the guy Even if you do know of the bad rap you still don't boo the guy. Nobody in the park was there that night and has no reason to boo him for what they may have heard. I'm honestly tired of it already. I don't condone domestic violence by any means, but I also despise the fact that people are so much more judgemental of celebrities just because they make more money than us.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) Totally OK with giving Orlando some starts at second. He is horrible, we've been over this. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) Morel's hitless so far, and you'd be losing a ton of range at 2nd. If the choice is Beckham or Morel at 2nd, give me Beckham. Not to mention, if anyone has forgotten....its Brent f***ing Morel. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:16 PM) Beckham is still a good player and we should keep him. Defensively he is one of the best. The bat will come. Trust me Couldn't agree more. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) Yeah, him and Alexei have been awesome defensively the last few months. Excellent chemistry and huge talent up the middle. One of the best combos in baseball IMO.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:26 PM) Oh, Soxtalk...
  10. Suck it Minnesota. Oh...you didn't know we installed a DONKEY-KONG machine on the CONCOURSE at The Cell??? Well we did. High score so far? Francisco Liriano.
  11. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 06:58 PM) Eventhough Beckham has been hitting poorly, he's been drawing walks much better now Which is exactly what we need from him; plate discipline and the ability to move runners/get the job done even when he's not swinging it well. Can't afford to have him taking big cuts and striking out and popping up all the time. The kid's got the baseball IQ....I truely believe he's going to be a .300 hitter one day. I think
  12. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 06:49 PM) I dunno why they don't try to pitch around Gonzalez Because he used to play for the White Sox and Ventura let his ego get in the way....oh wait, that was Youk and Bobby V.
  13. Paulie needs to move down in the order for a while, if Rios was hitting cleanup today....
  14. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) VOTE FOR PEDR0!
  15. LMAO @ ESPN Gameday....it had Youk's HR landing short of the warning track. Must be that green monster throwing it off Oh yeah....YOOOOUUUUUUKKKKKK!!!! EAT s*** BOSTON!!!!
  16. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:37 PM) His body language sucks too. Maybe he can settle down as Axe did yesterday. He's been watching our Captain
  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 06:17 PM) Paulie with an RBI double. 2nd and 3rd for Rios with one out, 1-0 Sox! Get him outta the clean-up spot.
  18. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) This team, with all these rookie arms, cannot afford to strand so many runners. We wasted a brilliant outing by Dylan freakin Axelrod because we couldn't score more than 1 run. That can't happen.... Your statement is a very tough one to argue, obviously stranding runners is never good. All the games that JFP gave up one run and the offense threw up a goose-egg, well it's going to happen, it's the nature of the game and over 162 you're going to have that happen every now and then. That said, despite the opinion of some in this thread, we certaintly didn't lose last night (or any other game) because Kong was hitting clean-up. We lost because the entire offense (save Youk) didn't show up against some tool that we should have scored 5-6 off.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 11:49 AM) Regression to the mean, you didnt think he was going to hit 400 all year did you? Moving one of your best hitters for a short period of time is not all that smart or effective. Especially since we have been WINNING games. This ^ I refuse to even read ALL of the back and forth in this thread. Paul Konerko in the cleanup spot is not KILLING this team. The Sox have won 7 of 10 and are still in first place in the division. / thread.
  20. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) I take offense to this comment. Ethnicity has nothing to do with it. LOL, come on Marty.
  21. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 12:34 AM) The LSD is going to taste a whole lot better after this kind of win. Lol good luck man!!
