1. McCann wants to be a starting catcher, not happening full time here. He will be in high demand especially when Realmuto signs in a place other than Philly. Going to get way more than 2 years and 15 mil. 2. If nothing else your last paragraph states why McCann will not be resigned. Vaughn will be here more than likely next season and is not coming up to sit the bench all year.

Only thing I worry about is can Giolito harness his emotions and pitch under control. If he can manage that we win the game and hopefully the series.

To be fair his starts were vs Houston, Texas, San Francisco, and Seattle so not exactly world beaters and he gave up 7 and 8 hits in the Houston and Texas games just somehow those teams only put up 1 run against him. Not too worried he’s good regardless but I don’t think it’s a scenario where Keuchel needs to be moved back.

In a big park like this I expect Madrigal to have a huge 2-3 games. Can’t afford to play shallow in this park and he get one over their heads in my opinion, so he’s gonna get a chance for some bloopers
