  1. Good. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who can get a team over the hump. The Sox had the opportunity to go into the rebuild with him and chose RR over him. If it’s my decision it’s Hinch or Espada.
  2. Don’t care. If he’s smart and can take us to the next level I don’t care whether he bet on baseball or cheated
  3. Yeah the but who portion of his tweet makes me think a guy like alomar is in play as well otherwise why not just state the obvious if your Stoney. It’s almost like he was being cryptic about his tweet but maybe I’m reading too much into it
  4. Could be hinting at maybe Alomar too
  5. I want someone totally outside this organization as manager. Hinch, Cora, Espada. Alomar is okay, but I don’t think he’s a guy that gets you over the top. The Alomar thing doesn’t make sense as a target in my opinion as they could have signed him when they hired Renteria.
  6. I’m just glad this firing didn’t take 2-3 years to happen. Hopefully with his firing this is a sign Covid or no covid the Sox are not screwing around and are going all in
  7. I think it’s because how pissed he was when the scandal was broken.
  8. Joe Espada would be a play I could see the Sox making. Checks the box of Spanish speaking, winning caliber type and doesn’t draw the limelight like hinch and cora would.
  9. Rick Hahn: simply put hire whoever the hell is gonna win Championships whether they are a previous cheater or not
  10. Holy shit, the offseason just gets better
  11. I’ve heard the critics against an Alomar move, albeit in a smaller role he made some questionable decisions in filling in for Francona. I don’t know if he’s the answer, plus the Sox interviewed him once already
  12. I’d imagine this season nothing will get going for many teams until after the World Series with COVID. Kinda hard to interview candidates face to face if they are still in a bubble.
  13. ? Hot stove can’t start up soon enough
  14. My heart says yes, my brain says no. They will let Ricky screw this one up for at least another couple seasons
  15. EE on his option that Rick picks up this offseason ?
  16. Fire them both
  17. I agree. The players didn’t come up big when we needed it, the game was there for the W even in the 9th we just didn’t convert. However I’m still beating the Fire Ricky drum just because he’s not the guy to get you to win the damn thing and if we wait we just kick that can down the road yet another season.
  18. This team will not win without another rock solid starting pitcher. If this means you have to go out on the trade market to acquire one so be it.
  19. Yep. This team needs to land it’s big fish one way or another this offseason. Enough of 2nd place bids, whether that’s via trade or free agency. Now is the time to strike.
  20. Homer Bailey is not your answer for plan E at this point.... he pitched in 2 games this season and was DFA’d by the Twins at the end.
  21. That’s the reporters words right? Not the teams reporting. I’m still holding out hope.
  22. I agree. I have no issues with bringing him back I just don’t want him on a higher end Kimbrel type deal to where it hurts the pocket books of this team for years to come and makes Jerry cry poor even more so we can’t fill the holes we need the most. I think we have 2-3 other arms on the roster that is capable of closing here soon anyways.
  23. Hard pass on a Homer Bailey. His ERA at The Cell would be in the 8-9 range.
