Would he though? He was saying the other day he wants his starters to continue going 7-8 and even 9 innings throwing 100+ pitches and his ball clubs will always do that. The trend for MLB lately is to rely heavily on the bullpen and seem to be drifting away from that kind of stuff.....not saying that old dogs can’t learn new tricks but maybe time is starting to pass him by.... I will finish this up by saying that his job is absolutely safe here due to the “loyalty” from ownership and not having a negative track record with our staff.

The Sox are not going to bow out of this, I’m sure if SD offers a contract better than the Whitesox we will have a chance to match or counter back with a better one. Nothing to worry about here. Hahn has even said that if it comes to it the Sox aren’t going down without a fight.

Why would they be out on Harper? I agree it’s more unlikely they bring him in rather than Manny but Daniel Palka isn’t blocking Bryce Harper coming to town.

I think it’s apparent that if the Sox land Manny they are going to want to accelerate the winning process sooner rather than later especially with such a young roster. Pederson fills a gaping hole in your line up for 2 years before Robert is due up.

I only think the Sox make a move for Pederson if they know Manny is coming, otherwise like Hahn has stated they will stay the course.

Hard to argue with it if you are the casual fan seeing the depth of outfielders in the system right now without knowing the system much, especially if you are planning to move one of moncada or Anderson to the outfield at some point to make room for Madrigal in the next year.
