  1. QUOTE (Bruce_Blixton @ Jan 1, 2012 -> 12:57 PM) Here's a scouting video of Myles Jaye and a small write-up on him, kind of reminds me of Daniel Hudson's build and mechanics. If I didn't know it wasn't, I would have thought that was Hudson scouting video from a few years ago based off the mechanics.
  2. Marty isn't Cowley guys. He's KW just f***ing with us.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 1, 2012 -> 12:18 PM) I am sorry but I don't agree with Balta that this trade had to happen. Shedding salary is one thing, but KW said we would be only trading for major league ready prospects. These two guys aren't it. Maybe Kenny needs a lesson on how to rebuild and remain competitive? I am very dissapointed to say the least. We had a real good player in CQ. He swings a good bat with power. He is a hardnosed player. We basicaly gave him away. For Milk:
  4. Does anyone know if Jose Quintana is a starter or not? He intrigued me when we picked him up.
  5. Bye Q, couldn't hate you. Could get frustrated, but man, he was likable. If I hate anything about the stupid KW-Ozzie feud, it's that we lost a lot of likable guys because of it.

Happy New Years everyone! I anticipate this thread to have an incoherent J4L and JoeCool, a random ass Heads, and an angry wite. Have a good one guys
  7. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 06:09 PM) I typically make a run around this time of year, not necessarily a precursor for the year to come. If the Sox are as bad as we expect them to be: probably not. But hey: keep pissing me off and you never know. Well f*** you then. (Is it working? We need more Kalapse on this board.) Man, I really hope we sign one of the Cubans with some freed up money, which is why I could see Thornton and Floyd gone next.
  8. My dad just slammed Castro and Hernandez because "KW traded for them, so they suck" He's a little angry over Buehrle.
  9. Honestly, I'd take a little less to work everyday with familiar faces who understand where I'm from and speak my language. And by work around, I mean in the lineup.
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) I hope they can. If they move him and Floyd the payroll would be at ~92M and they could make a serious run at Cespedes. Sign him and put Viciedo on the block.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) The bottom line is for every pitcher you can say Cooper helped throw strikes, there are probably 25 or more you could say he couldn't help. Counting on Castro suddenly throwing strikes is something no one should really do. You really will never get over Walker, will you>
  12. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 02:03 PM) Agreed. f***, we could have Julio Teheran or Jameson Taillon right now if Kenny Williams wasn't such a f***ing moron.
  13. 1) Ok, Castro is at least intriguing now given his past. But he's gotten lit up in AAA. 2) Hernandez seems to start half his games. A 5th starter/long man maybe? 3) I love SoxTalk. To my dad, it makes it seem like I have sources. 4) So here's the possible starters next year for AAA: Stewart - Santiago - Molina - Axelrod - Castro - Hernandez Chances any pan out to compliment Danks - Sale - Humber - Floyd?
  14. Simon Castro and Pedro Hernandez Color me underwhelmed.
  15. Intriguing considering the hauls they got for Latos & AGon. Padres got some nice pieces.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) Fourth place. Hope I'm wrong. It's time for this team to wake up and show some life. Greg, this was last years buddy.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:36 AM) Didn't catch the last 3 1/2 quarters or so. You missed a show.
  18. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:26 AM) Well, the unathletic Bulls kicked the high flying Clippers ass tonight and made it look easy...BTW, where's J4L? Rose is 5-0 vs Paul and he absolutely clowned him tonight. Like I said, J4L is the ultimate grass is always greener. I'll take that over unreasonable homerism always.
  19. QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:11 AM) That Clippers team has some good starters (and I know they were missing Billups tonight), but holy jesus are they thin. That's going to get exploited big time during this condensed schedule. Randy Foye, Brian Cook and Ryan Gomes are three of their first four off the bench? Ugh. I don't know why not Reggie Evans. He's an amazing rebounder and great ball handler.
  20. QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 31, 2011 -> 12:08 AM) Man, if only he would have taken 10 more shots and scored 5 more points. I'd definitely prefer that over his ultra efficient performance All seriousness, he had an outstanding game. Absolutely filthy. Man, you do I gotta point out that "if" I had in there Felix If he's efficient and attacks, then f*** it, he could actually repeat as MVP.
  21. D-ROSE. BIGGER. STRONGER. FASTER THAN YOU CHRIS PAUL.
  22. Rose has toyed with the Clippers tonight.
  23. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 30, 2011 -> 11:29 PM) Oh yeah, and DROSE > cp3 Oh dear lord, not this again (and by that, I mean, J4L/Felix vs. the Board)
  24. Bulls getting phantom calls now.
  25. Rose with a double-double at half, 11/10/2
