  1. f***, why's it gotta be Gurriel?
  2. So the Kremlin being involved with the Trump Jr. meeting is probably this week's bombshell. Talking Points Brought to Trump Tower Meeting Were Shared With Kremlin https://nyti.ms/2ySHvVn
  3. Re: Jason's hot takes & more Agreed on Lauri. He's shown way more than what was being said during the draft. He can put it on the floor, has the mindset to go hard and dunk and that three point shot is pure. I'm torn on keeping RoLo or not. He's the type of veteran that is great for a locker room full of inexperience and I'd love him in a Kurt Thomas/Brad Miller leader role. On the other hand, tank on. Portis needs to go. Niko's value is gone while he's out with a broken face. The Bulls are still bad, but this is the draft where they need a Top 3 for the rebuild.
  4. I'm really liking what I see from Nwaba. Reminds me of rookie/sophomore Jimmy - high energy, good defensive tools, gets to the hoop. If the Bulls could turn him into a Ronnie Brewer Bench Mob Role, that'd be phenomenal.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 11:13 AM) Where do people think this Uranium went exactly? Hannity is a puppet master for the legions of morons. Shhhh don't ask for details
  6. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Oct 27, 2017 -> 12:40 AM) I'm not in favor of dumping Ricky for Girardi, but it wouldn't be the same scenario as the Cubs. Renteria took a 67 win Cubs team and won 73 games. Renteria took a 78 win Sox team and won 67 games. I understand that was not Ricky's fault the Sox sucked this year, and it was stacked against him, but the Cubs fired him right as their rebuild was rocketing towards the finish line. The Sox *would* be firing him after the lowest point of the rebuild. This is hysterically disingenuous and you know it. He took at 78 win team that lost a HOF level starter, have a season of a Top 15 pitcher, a gutted bullpen, an elite right fielder traded and a grieving SS for the first half. And there was only an 11 win drop.
  7. It was disgraceful when the Cubs did it, it'd be disgraceful if the Sox fire Ricky solely to hire Girardi. I think Ricky earned next season.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 05:14 PM) To me it's the Big 3. Porter/Bagley/Ayton. Pray for one of them. I wouldn't sleep on Doncic, Bomba is my #5 but I can see him in there. The top of this class looks absolutely absurd on paper.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) Rivalries don't die because teams play each other a lot. You can go down the list of long term rivalries. If you put the Sox and Cubs in the same division and REALLY gave them something to play against each other for, it could actually intensify it to Red Sox vs Yankees levels. And not only are they now competing for a division title against one another, they're even more readily fighting for fans.
  10. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 11:21 AM) They posted a fix, but c'mon, two years in a row?
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 09:30 AM) We knew that the dossier started its life with the Jeb and Cruz campaigns and after the primaries was then funded by "Democrat-associated people" but the DNC and Clinton camp denied direct involvement IIRC. Either way though, there's nothing unusual about conducting opposition research. The work appears to have been legit, and Mueller and Co. will investigate and substantiate what claims, if any, are true. And yeah it's still a couple of steps removed from receiving emails saying "would you like to collude with the Russian government's efforts to help you win" "yes!!!!" https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/nation...bbb9_story.html Also a few steps from publicly requesting Russian interference.
  12. Yeah, Lauri has been a joy to watch. Hopefully he'll pair well with whichever one of the Big 5 the Bulls get.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2017 -> 08:41 AM) This was literally written in 2016. Didn’t we all already know this? Is this to smokescreen the fact that Trump outsourced his research to Russia? Gaslight, Obstruct, Project
  14. QUOTE (ron883 @ Oct 24, 2017 -> 12:03 AM) Scrap those. Moncada, Eloy, and Kopech. That's where my vote goes. You mad man
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 23, 2017 -> 10:06 PM) NOOOOOOOOOO. Are we keeping him as the banner for his legacy or...? Only until he hits the Hall of Fame
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 23, 2017 -> 05:53 PM) Your opinions generally come from whatever radio show you heard that day from what I gather. KO'd QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 23, 2017 -> 07:39 PM) Restored today Damn that was fast.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 23, 2017 -> 03:17 PM) Thats why I dont understand his angle. Almost nothing to be gained by labeling himself an "independent" and he loses a lot of influence in the Democratic party. Didn't he say he'd run as a democract next time?
  18. Bill Browder's visa was revoked by the US State Department. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Russia, the Magnitsky Act, or Browder's expertise on Russian corruption.
  19. QUOTE (Tony @ Oct 23, 2017 -> 12:58 AM) Now greg, I was told by you it was a LOCK that the Cubs would be back in the World Series. I was told not to even think twice. So why should we take your prediction of Cubs “one and done” seriously? Bet the house, baby.
  20. My dad grew up idolizing Koufax, so his Dodger love passed on to me.
  21. QUOTE (GermanSock @ Oct 22, 2017 -> 08:16 AM) the cubs traded josh donaldson. those things happen. it is not ideal but everyone makes mistakes. that is not an exact science you sometimes pick the wrong guy. now it is possible that that move costs the sox a ws but they still have a great farm and a chance to build a really good team. As we all know, trading Josh Donaldson, DJ LeMahieu and Chris Archer prevented the Cubs from winning.
