  1. I guess he didn't want to put the nail in the coffin or just looking ahead and wants to put his best towards the Twins while the Sox face the Tigers.
  2. Them winning 6 in a row. 1 game series were a win was not necessary for them to go to a more competitive series. They are not the team put in a position to where going undefeated the rest of the season if almost necessary.
  3. This is basically a forfeit game from them. If the division lead was smaller you don't see this guy.
  4. Rumor has it Menechino was only following Tony's orders. You be the judge of that.
  5. Remember when people called Garland Judy? He finally got it together for a couple seasons. I'm not ready to give up on Giolito yet,
  6. I'll take the older guys any day. They could give you innings. I'm not fond of guys trying to throw through a wall for 5 innings. For modern day I'd take M. Buehrle. He was a complete pitcher in fielding and holding runners on. He did some extraordinary things.
  7. Plus who is available other than the recently fired managers. Sox fans are infected insert former player here as manager. I don't expect Francona or Hinch to be fired.
  8. Kinda odd but I've been watching the wild card race. It's a looooooooooooong shot for the Sox but not impossible.
  9. Sox have to get a new hitting coach next year. Chances that won't happen.
  10. I have a Debbie Downer feeling about this one. Kuhl has been great.
  11. Love opposing broadcasts. You learn a lot about your players. Vaughn's history is interesting,
  12. Colts fan. Owner failed to fire the GM which led to the Luck retirement. An organization that was blessed having franchise and 2 HoF QBs are just like the rest of the league. NHL - anyone ever by the season pass to watch online? Spend a $130 and most games are blacked out. Should be a class action lawsuit. I find the NFL boring. NBA - don't care. I miss the days when athletes played the game and didn't spout their opinion on everything. Most of the famous entertainers kept their mouth shut.
  13. I'm getting closer to divorcing myself from this organization. The owner is very good at alienating a fan base. It happens even in small things like Beckham in the announcing booth. I will never ridicule Cub fans because this organization has become a complete joke. It depends on what happens after this season that I will finalize my divorce. I don't live in the viewing area so I have to fork out $130 to watch baseball. It's worth it to me anyway since I have basic cable. I'm in the West Coast viewing area just up the street from the Sox/Dodgers DT facility. I've grown fond of watching the Dodgers. There's hopes of new ownership and that can be worse because owners rarely live in their boundaries. If I were to leave the only way I would come back is if they are a solid organization like the Rays or Dodgers. I couldn't deal with trading great players for prospects and be like the Royals where you might be great once a decade. The problem with this organization is they litter it with former players. Sox have more often been mired in mediocrity because of loyalty. There is no outside influence. This team has ruled the Chicago media but only because it's been nothing but a soap opera.
  14. Their coaching is superior and probably couldn't afford them. Reinsdorf is into former players which come from mired in mediocrity. I guess they couldn't really fix Kimbrel. They had 6 different pitchers record saves. There is something magical about that organization that we will never see from the Sox.
  15. I think that trade was worse than the Kimbrel trade. 2 of 3 players Sox gave up has All Star appearances, I think.
  16. I can;t imagine how far back one would have to go when they developed a catcher. The expectations are not yet fulled at 3rd with Moncada. CF has always been an issue. Now the issue is health.
