  1. Rodon should be on a short leash as well.
  2. They still have Grandal hitting at the top of the order.
  3. They just need to beat the Tigers and the teams they should beat and split against the good teams. If they do all that, they should be fine.
  4. I think McCann is gone after this year. We need a RF, SP, bullpen help and a DH if Vaughn doesn’t come up.
  5. I would go out and sign a right fielder. Michael Brantley would be good. Even though Marcell Ozuna isn’t a right fielder and bats righty, now I wish we would’ve went out and got him last offseason instead of settling with Mazara. I know that JR was laughing about that but he would’ve been a better option to stick in right field.
  6. Some people’s expectations on this board are way too high. You can’t expect to sweep the Twins. Taking 2 out of 3 would be nice but sweeping, that’s a tall order. Even if they lose this series the worse they would be is a game out of first.
  7. Your right. I don’t know what I’m thinking. Maybe Joc Pederson would be nice or anybody other than Mazara at this point.
  8. We will be releasing Mazara at the end of the season. He’s just not cutting it. We will either obtain a RF through free agency or give the job to Engel.
  9. I’m happy that we didn’t trade him. He’s a #2 or #3 starter when fully developed. I think he’s the pitcher that we could’ve gone out and gotten at the deadline but didn’t because we have him and the Sox foresee him moving into that role in the future.
  10. There’s your answer on why they didn’t make a trade with anyone. Teams were asking for Vaughn.
  11. Time to move on and concentrate on beating the Twins!
  12. I’m glad they stayed put. It sounds like the cost for Lynn and most of the other players were too high. Look we’re in 1st place. We’re in a good spot. You give the young players a chance to get some experience in the playoffs and if they end up short than you can add some pieces in the offseason to improve the team.
  13. How do you know? Any sources or just gut feeling?
  14. Weird stuff going on.
  15. 3pm CT
  16. Well we haven’t heard from Not Steve Cishek in a while. I think we can put him to rest. Is he alive? Lmao.
  17. I just don’t trust Rodon to be an everyday starter in this rotation. Same with Lopez. At some point the experiment has to end.
  18. Even though I would’ve loved for the Sox to acquire Clevinger. That would’ve never happened inside the division. We’ll be fine.
  19. It’s been a quiet morning so far, however I think we will start seeing some stuff happen closer to the 3pm CT deadline.
  20. Not Steve Cishek mentioned reinforcements though so I’m guessing there’s more coming back to the Sox. Who else would be involved? Any guesses? Hader? Yelich?
  21. Yes, the Padres indeed made a really big splash here. Lol
  22. The Padres are really taking a gamble with their future here.
