  1. I was watching WGN as well...pretty sure the guy Stony was talking about being a 4/5 starter who the organization loves was McCallister...the guy the Indians called up to pitch game one of the DH. He was saying the Indians love him and view him as a 4/5 starter...unless I missed him saying the exact same thing about Quintana.
  2. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 6, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) Have to find a way to win this series in CLE I'd take a split. Leave Cleveland 15-17 and beat up on the Royals.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2012 -> 09:08 PM) Beltre just ended their run of good luck. 5-2 Rangers. Not a good idea to intentionally walk Mitch Moreland, no matter how well he's been going today, in front of Adrian. Alexi Ogando's the secret weapon for that team. He can pitch multiple innings at any point in a game. Tonight it was the 9th and 10th. Another lead-off walk in the 11th...if you keep tugging on Supermans cape...
  4. Boom...Pinch hit homer for Beltre. Sox are gonna gain a game it looks like.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) The Indians continuing to impress, going for their 4th straight home victory after being atrocious at home to start the season. Beat the Rangers (now in a three-game losing slide) and mounted a nice comeback against Adams to put the game tonight into extras. Tied 2-2 in the 10th in CLE. I've never seen a team get away with so much crap. How many times did they walk a lead-off man in the Sox series and get away with it? They just walk Andrus to lead off the 10th (Something that should kill you vs. Texas)...and bad baserunning bails them out of the innings (much like in the Sox series this week). They are just going through a real fortunate patch right now. I hope the Sox get one of those this season.
  6. Biggest hit of Dunns White Sox career right there. THAT is what team leaders do. When the team is down and out the big guys step up and put the team on their backs. HUGE WIN!
  7. Man that win feels good after lastnight.
  8. Dunns homer will go down as the biggest hit of the season if the Sox can turn this thing around. Way to go Donkey!
  9. Ryan Raburn...oh boy. No reason for Reed not to be facing Raburn here.
  10. YEEAAAHHAHAHAHH ADAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSS HEEEEELLLLLL YEEEESSSSS
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) This Scherzer (sp?) character was mouthig off about how he was going to fix all his pitching problems today and win. Well, it looks like he might just have done that, the Soixjust can't do anything right lately He was really going out on a limp considering the team opposing him today.
  12. Good game Gavin. Another pitcher who deserved a better fate.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ May 5, 2012 -> 05:05 PM) Do you watch the games, or just look at stats? He's crushed some balls. I watch every game. Beginning to end. He's 5/36 with a bunch of groundballs to the left side and harmless flyballs/pop-ups to the right side and center.
  14. I hate Chris Perez. Have since he was a Cardinal.
  15. Rios average continuing to take a nose-dive down below .280. 5 for his last 36. He's been a carbon-copy of last season the last 9 games.
  16. Living near Kansas City...I'm scared to death of rebuilding. The Royals have attempted 7 different rebuilding plans since 1994.
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ May 5, 2012 -> 04:43 PM) Right...nobody wants to watch a team stink(except for Cubs fans). You think attendance is bad now. Wait until we go on a long losing streak. The attendance can't get much worse. Already 13th of 14 AL teams...it would be something to catch Oakland in that department.
  18. Lost in the offensive ineptitude is Gavin pitching well again.
  19. Farmer said it was a balk. But who cares really. Weren't scoring anyway.
  20. QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:56 PM) This has been talked about over and over, but I really can't blame Jake Peavy for his lat tearing off the bone. We can think that maybe this thing and that thing made it happen, but we don't know. We likely didn't pay at least one of his seasons of salary anyway. By all accounts he's a really good guy that wants to earn his salary. I'm sure that he's a great guy. The bottom line is that this whole thing just hasn't worked. He wasn't thrilled to come here in the first place, and the whole thing has been a complete disaster. I almost wish he was pitching like garbage so it's not gonna be so GD sad everytime he takes the mound from here on out...a) because he's stuck on a loser and b) because I can't help but think about what could have been if he had been this guy in 09 and 10.
  21. Cancel the postgame show. Thank God. PK needs to park one here. Might be the only thing that wakes this team up.
