  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) Poor Jake. Shoulda had a win last night. Pitiful. I love that guy. Yeah...I love the guy who is finally earning some of the money that he has stolen from this organization over the past couple of seasons. We surely could have used this Peavy the last couple of seasons more than this one.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:46 PM) Then it'll be the dreaded trying to salvage one win in the series contest on Sunday. If Humber pitches anywhere close to as bad as he has in his last two starts...tomorrows game has 9-2 written all over it. They can feel sorry for themselves heading into Monday's DH.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) Are you honestly trying to say that we are having terrible luck because of a blown save last night? Because that's how the Sox are losing right now. Terrible luck. I'm honestly saying that there is a real possiblity the Sox don't score today...and if they do score it will be 1 or 2. That is laying down. I can't watch the body language anymore. I'm turning on the radio feed. It will make me less angry.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:39 PM) I would assume a come from behind victory will be out of the question. Tigers 10-1 this season when scoring first. Sox might not even get a hit today.
  5. One of the major reasons that I'm ready for a complete blow up of this team is all the damn hanging heads and mental midgets. Blown saves happen. GTF over it and play baseball. Sox out there playing like the bad stretch is just gonna cure itself. I was really hoping to see less of this in 2012. But no. Sox are 2-6 since Santiago's blown save, and now laying down today. Disgraceful. There are 162 freaking games. Gotta be able to bounce back.
  6. Good job by Gavin pitching around a lead-off single to Jackson.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 5, 2012 -> 03:08 PM) f***ing FOX, why would Milwaukee-San Fran be a better game in Memphis? Anyone got one of those illegal streaming links??? www.vipbox.tv
  8. Forget yeserday. Let's win a damn ballgame. Bad Max Scherzer please.
  9. What an awful week...what a terrible day. How could we expect a different result? I can't wait until the games don't mean anything so it will hurt less when s*** like this happens.
  10. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 4, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) Is Santiago the closer tonight? Super doubtful. Would be an epic coaching gaffe to demote the guy in the afternoon, but since his replacement isn't ready until Monday call on him to shut the door tonight.
  11. Wow...big play by Brent there. That saved 2nd and 3rd and no one out.
  12. Getting less mad about Gordon's baserunning blunder lastnight...
  13. Peavy really isn't getting that outside corner tonight.
  14. I'm scared of this.... Dunn: K PK: Walk AJ: K or double play Rios: not clutch
  15. Can we get Peavy some runs please? He'd be better off still pitching for the Padres. He'd get about as much run support.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) Wow Hawk STAY FAIR!!!!
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2012 -> 07:02 PM) Sample size, especially since I believe Hamilton kicked his ass when he faced him. Big problem is that both Dunn and De Aza are automatic outs against LHP this year, as they're both in the area of 3-28 vs LHP. True. 7/21 coming in. Now 8/27.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2012 -> 06:55 PM) Let's hope the main comment after this game is that we didn't waste another great Jake Peavy performance. Who'd have thought 6 weeks ago that he would be the most interesting pitcher to watch in our starting rotation in 2012? Never would have thought I'd be worrying about the contracts of Danks and Ramirez MORE than Dunn. Still not more than Rios, though. (Although at least Alexei finally showed some power with his earlier out, 479 OPS out of him so far is pretty hard to believe.) Watching Peavy pitch depresses me knowing that we're going to be watchng him pitch somewhere else next season (if not sooner).
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2012 -> 06:46 PM) 0-4, 4 K for the lefties Hard to believe Lefties were hitting .333 vs. Smyly coming in.
  20. Damn. Tigers team BA is only .246...wonder how long that can last.
