Hamilton was one bad-ass mother.

2 notes. one i thought black ops had a very well done campaign but second i started at gta 3 aswell and put a lot of hours into each game thereafter. To me San Andreas was the best because there were endless things to do after the story. with Vice being the best atmosphere and 4 having the best presentation.

I cannot wait for the new gta. I grew up on those games!!!!

i was only half listening but they started the segment by giving Konerko's stats and age vs. the norm. Mac quickly squashed the idea that Konerko was using but it sparked a debate as to whether numbers alone are enough to accuse.
-
no mac actually started the conversation because he had heard co workers talk about it or something like that. He defended paul by saying he does not have the body. It was a nice conversation with good points on both sides of the fence.

QUOTE (forrestg @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 10:04 AM) When Alexei came up does anyone remember him playing centerfield. If my memory serves me right he made some unique plays in center. I thought he did ok. I'm sure no one on the team could play short as well unless it would be Visquel. Can anyone else remember the few times he was trotted out to center? m in aI'd like to see him in another game at that position. We play Rios a lot because we don't have another true centerfielder. do we have another true shortstop that i am overlooking?

Taking Buehrle out of the rotation would be pretty absurd. For starters he is probably your second or third best pitcher right now out of 6. Who the f*** cares about trade value when you know damn well none of these guys will be traded put lets just assume that you do. Jackson has dismal trade value anyway, Danks would have gotten you a nice hall but with this start to his season, who knows. Mark to the pen does nothing but make this team worse. .

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 21, 2011 -> 12:08 PM) Ozzie, of course, also felt the need to hang him out to dry in the 10th inning. and i bet if Ozzie put pena or sale out in the tenth you would b**** that he conceded the loss. there is no winning

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 17, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) Ah yes, as long as we know they'll make bad moves, we should never find ourselves becoming upset at them. You were on the right path when you talked about firing Ozzie. but he is not fired and you should then no that Kenny will respect Ozzies wishes. so then what i say to you is if you hate everything about this team why do you post on a message board that was created to support it. DONT WATCH
-
So you would all prefer Kenny to bring up Viciedo to get a couple at bats a week(stunting his growth) just to let Ozzie know he is making the wrong moves? That is idiotic if you ask me. If any of you expected that to happen then idk what to tell you. If Kenny wanted 2 do that he could have just fired Ozzie. So then that leads me to why the f*** did you see this happening any other way? BTW i think that this was the correct move considering both the atbat opportunities and the fact that Ozzie has not given up on Pierre. Im sick of people knowing what is going to happen and still are angry about it...

The Triumphant Return of Jake Peavy @ Angels

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) I wouldn't be totally surprised if Jake gets hurt trying to choke out Juan in between innings. i think then the money he is owed would all be worth it. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:29 PM) Nice play by Alexei. Peavy's velocity is better than expected, but his slider has nothing on it. i was going to post about that. It really is looking ineffective thus far. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) That's not on Jake at all. I'll be sure to remember that one. cant really tell if thats sarcasm but either way that ball should have been caught. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 11, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) Jake appears to be gaining some speed. WGN had his last pitch at 93. 92.5 on mlb gameday -
QUOTE (kitekrazy @ May 9, 2011 -> 11:25 PM) PK had 2 really bad seasons, so I do have my doubts he is 100% clean. I dont really believe he was(using). I would just throw out that 18 hr year because he was down across the board and i think during that 19 hr season his thumb was bothering him all season(that can really mess with the swing). His body has not been breaking down unless you consider a bad thumb steroid related? He has not really had a massive body change and he has been even more successful post steroid era. With that being said what if during those 2 seasons Konerko actually hit his average hr total of 32. How much closer would he be?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 9, 2011 -> 04:53 PM) Btw, Bleacherreport put up an article a couple months ago about M-56 and whether or not he had any HOF chances. At least in their world, his numbers are a few more years of consistency away. buerhle is another that just puts me off. i look at the numbers and see he was never one of the best but was consistently good. This brings up another question in my mind. Are HoF voters wise enough to view a career 3.85 era that has some brilliant years and some mediocre years the same as a 3.85 era that is year in and year out around a 3.85? My guess is no. for the record I do not believe mark is a hall of famer.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 9, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) Frankly, I don't know. He's got a good shot at 550+, and that'd be even harder to say "no" to. i think the answer here is incomplete. if Dunn was to retire today with 550 hrs i dont think he would get in. but in coming seasons he might get better MVP voting because of reduction in steroid use(further himself from steroid era). I think this argument also works for Konerko just not as strong.
-
I think that he can get 500 home runs, and usually speaking 500 home runs means an automatic hall of fame bid. With that being said the back of his baseball card does not scream hall of fame even if he averages 25 home runs for the next 4 years. It is really hard for me to say no because i love PK and 500 home runs should still be one hell of an accomplishment but in this era it feels like 500 has lost its luster.
-
If Konerko gets close to the 500 homerun mark do any of you guys think he will make the hall? I figure if he plays 3 more years after this and averages 32 homeruns during that span he will get 500. I f he plays 4 more years after this he will only need to average about 25(which i think is doable). with all of that said even if he gets to 500 what other stat really jumps out.
