Watched the first 10 minutes of Tulsa/Michigan, but the bricks piled up so high they're now blocking the TV.
-
That's a low class move to put that out there and not say anymore. I have no respect for writers who do that.

Everybody needs to go watch War Games on Netflix.

I'm talking about what is still an incredibly unlikely scenario where Trump actually participates in a deal to nominate somebody else, as opposed to it happening behind his back or whatever. I agree that if Trump has 40+% of the delegates and he gets pushed out of the nomination against his will it will ruin the party's chances in November.
-
I don't see how Cruz can be the choice at a contested convention. The party has to realize that Trump's supporters are much more likely to vote for Hillary or stay home if he isn't the nominee than Cruz' supporters if he isn't. The only real path the Republicans have to winning in November is for Trump to put 100% of his support behind Kasich but that just doesn't seem like anything Trump would consider.

The last time someone with the last name Garland left the north side of Chicago it worked out pretty well for Sox fans.
-
The Republicans only need to delay until the last one of them gets past his/her primary, then they can go ahead with the confirmation process without worrying about a challenge from the right.

I don't like the idea of Jackson playing every day. His bat is just so bad..
-
That's very sad because he's the only one left who's neither a disgusting narcissistic liar (Hillary, Trump, and to a lesser extent Cruz) nor so far out ideologically that his plan isn't workable (Cruz, Bernie)

Found this on moveon.org: Only problem: Trump's quote is from 2014 and the NOAA fact is from 2016. Now, I can't stand Trump and don't agree with his position on climate change, but moveon.org is absolutely repulsive for pulling this. They're being very Trump-like in doing something like this. And nobody is going to convince me that the person pulling that together didn't know what they were doing.

Kasich is going to pick up a lot of Rubio's organization, money, and votes, and probably a lot of organization and money from Bush as well.
-
Doesn't help him a lot. With Rubio out Kasich gets enough delegates to keep Trump from getting a majority.
-
Rubio giving what sounds a lot like an "I'm dropping out" speech but he hasn't actually said it yet. EDIT: OK he said it.

Final offer was accepted and signed.

Being a switch hitter is not an asset if you suck at hitting from both sides of the plate.

Why would the Sox offer that though? Unless he's really injured badly, I don't think the Sox would offer him $5M or more to quit. Even if he's only a little bit better than he was last year they are a better team with him than without him, and it may be too late to spend the saved money this season anyway. EDIT: Danks is someone I would offer $5M to quit.

Dodgers have a crowded OF.

Ton of respect for anybody who would walk away from guaranteed millions.

Kasich will win Ohio, Rubio will lose Florida and drop out tomorrow. Kasich will stay in and earn enough delegates to prevent either of the other two from earning a majority. The problem then becomes how to convince Trump that him backing Kasich is better than Kasich/Cruz aligning together, because if Trump has 40-48% of the delegates and Kasich and Cruz make any sort of deal without him, you'll lose enough Trump voters in November that it will be impossible to win.

Well, no good job opportunities came along in Northern/Central Indiana and we're long outgrown our current house so yeah, we're staying in the area. Really hate being this far from Chicago but it seems to be what's in the cards for me right now.

Received a counter offer early this morning and sent back a counter to their counter. Sellers just went through a bitter divorce so the sellers' agent has to bounce back and forth between them and that is slowing things down a bit. Hope to have an answer within an hour or so.

Yes, schedule sets up very nice for NFC North this year. I figure that the NFC East and South get only champions into the playoffs. That should leave ARI, SEA, GB, MIN and CHI fighting for 4 spots.

The head of the territory's party organization had been working for Carson's campaign so once Carson endorsed Trump, that was pretty much a lock for him.

It would be illegal for me to vote today (though it wouldn't shock me to discover that I'm still on the rolls despite not living in Illinois for 11 years).
-
Vote for the one of the two who isn't going to drop out tomorrow morning after losing his home state today.
