    Alright begin

Only one of my two kids is still awake and it's still 126 minutes until the ball drops.

    Alright begin

Quite the crash we had there, huh?

    Alright begin

Just trying to steer the conversation away from QBs and back to boobies.
  4. Gillaspie has never played anywhere but 3B and 1B, but I'd still rather have him over Kep.

    Alright begin

Perhaps my last post in this thread this year, but perhaps not.
  6. Well I do, but that's probably farther than you're willing to go to find a game. There is a site called homepokergames.com. It's a good place to find local games.

He's younger than you, so odds are that you will die first and he can pass you then.
  8. No thanks, but if you ever have a wreck while hauling bacon . . .
  9. It didn't strike me as being a forward lateral at the time, but I haven't watched the replay. Do you have a link to it somewhere. That's pretty bad if it really was, and doubly bad by the Bears for not challenging.
  10. Exactly. Because when Duke makes a claim that is obviously not true, the way to counter that is to ask him to back up his claim, not to make a counterclaim that is very likely also untrue.
  11. The clock reads 9:58 when Rodgers starts to go down. The clock reads 9:57 when Shea first makes contact. By the time the clock hits 9:56, Shea is already clear of Rodgers.
  12. The lack of making hard, solid contact with the baseball is directly related to swinging at too many pitches. When you swing at too many pitches, the overall quality of your contact goes down. Yes, Dunn takes it the other way to the extreme, but you can never say his contact isn't hard and solid.
  13. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...02557--nfl.html Peppers wasn't there. Briggs got a piece of Rodgers, but Rodgers went down himself before Briggs could get a full hit on him. Anyway, watch it and tell me Shea can actually avoid contact there.
  14. On the delay of game non-call, another issue is that the TE did not get set until there was one second left on the play clock. So it was not physically possible for him to be set for a full second and for there not to be a delay of game penalty.
  15. By the letter of the rule it may have been a penalty, but forget the rule for just a second and look at reality. Shea is running full out right at Rodgers. Rodgers suddenly gives himself up and goes down. Someone of Shea's size and speed does not physically have the time to avoid contact. He did an admirable job by limiting the contact to what it was. It's not like Rodgers was in the process of throwing the ball or in the process of being tackled where Shea can recognize the situation as one where he needs to let up to avoid contact. Rodgers gave himself up suddenly. The rules protecting QBs have gotten so severe that QBs can actually game the system to create penalties when there is clearly no intent. I'm not saying that's what Rodgers was trying to do, but it was the net result.
  16. If Aaron Rodgers is gay does that mean Shea McClellan is guilty of a hate crime?
  17. If you want to make a claim that somebody is in favor of something, yet, it's good to have a quote from somebody stating that they are in favor of it. That's generally how it works.
  18. You still haven't shown me where he said they should go to jail. He can say all kinds of nasty things about them. He hasn't said one damn thing about jail.
  19. No, nowhere near 50% chance that he thinks gays should go to jail. That's just stupid.
  20. Fun fact: The Bears finished the season 4-8 vs. the NFC.
  21. OK, but taking something that he has a 0.0001 percent chance of being in favor of and inserting it into the conversation by saying it's more likely than something he has a 0.0000 percent chance of, while technically true, is misleading and doesn't add anything to the conversation. I could say that you are more likely to mail me a check for $100,000 than you are to be in favor of throwing gay people in jail. While it may technically be true, it really serves no purpose to say that.
  22. I'm not saying the Texas law was OK. I think it's terrible. I'm pointing out that somebody made the claim that Mr. Robertson favored throwing gay people in jail and that the claim is totally unfounded. Let me be clear--I'm not a fan of what the guy said, but let's stick to what he actually said and not make assumptions that are clearly unfounded.
  23. OK, criminalized was the wrong word. The Texas anti-sodomy law you threw back in my face had a fine as the penalty. Not exactly the "throwing them in jail" attitude you were attributing to Mr. Robertson.
