  1. I'm still on board with Beckham swinging away even though it didn't work out.
  2. How about a 5-4-3 triple play? OK, well that was close enough.
  3. Props to de Aza for that, but it helps to bat in the lineup following a guy who is hardly ever on first base.
  4. Wise has a .931 OPS in September and I have no problem with riding the hot hand, but DeAza has a .777 OPS in the last two seasons and I hope nobody starts thinking of Wise as a permanent replacement for DeAza.
  5. Wise CF Youkilis 3B Dunn 1B Konerko DH Rios RF Pierzynski C Viciedo LF Ramirez SS Beckham 2B
  6. Does she know you've been cheating on her with your left hand?
  7. I hate the Patriots too much to ever bet money on them, but I did make $500 betting against them in the Super Bowl. Put $250 on the Giants -3½ at 2:1.
  8. Since there is no game thread yet, here's today's lineup: Wise CF Youkilis 3B Dunn 1B Konerko DH Rios RF Pierzynski C Viciedo LF Ramirez SS Beckham 2B

  10. Imagine how many more unearned runs the Tigers would be allowing if they didn't have a pitching staff with the second most strikeouts in the AL.
  11. The overall run differential is 36 runs better for the Sox than Detroit, so they are almost dead-even teams aside from the defense.
  12. Not me. As soon as I saw that the game was being played Monday afternoon, I suddenly contracted a mysterious illness that rendered me unable to to go work on Monday.

  16. Better make a deep playoff run to cover that $10M if you're going to do that.
  17. Dunn clearly isn't 100%. He didn't strike out once today.
