The problem is that in the current system this is the only leverage they have.
The entire American education system is messed up. In most areas of the country, the bulk of education funding comes from property or other taxes that are voted on at the local level. This needs to stop. I'd stop short of federalizing it, but having teacher contracts negotiated and paid for at the state level would be a start.
I just looked it up, and even though Porcello is a righty, Viciedo is 4-11 with a HR against him, so I would go with the regular lineup, bat Wise in Dunn's spot, with Wise in LF and Viciedo at DH.
This highlights a rule that I think really needs to be changed. In order to prevent teams from stopping the clock by faking injuries, teams get charged with a timeout for injury stoppages in the last two minutes of a half. That's fine, but they do it even if the clock is already stopped. I really think teams should only get charged a timeout if an injury timeout is called while the clock is running.

This thread will add teams as they are officially eliminated from the postseason (both division AND wild card)
Houston is the only team on the list so far.
Maybe we should amend the Constitution to make the Presidency a six-year term with no possibility of re-election? The the President's party doesn't have to worry about re-electing him and the opposition party doesn't have to worry about defeating him and maybe more gets done.
