  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 01:09 PM) Wow, the Tigers are in a funk. Thats awesome to hear.
  3. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 12:37 PM) Sanchez looking smooth at second. Knights announcers had said he had GG-calibre defence all year. U spoke too soon.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 12:28 PM) Avi looks way more comfortable against LHP than RHP Hes 0-4 vs kurda
  5. QUOTE (Timmy U @ Aug 23, 2014 -> 12:17 AM) I like Semien, but he's not the Sox future at short in the eyes of the organization. I think Tim Anderson is the guy slated to replace Alexei. Tim Anderson has too many errors i dont think he is.
  6. If trade alexei u telling me ur still rebuilding.
  7. QUOTE (The Wiz @ Aug 22, 2014 -> 07:06 PM) Thanks for your input Kenny Williams/Rick Hahn I'd say if anything if Semien shows he can play a solid SS over the next couple weeks and in September, the odds of Alexei getting traded do nothing but increase. And this offseason is probably the time to sell high on Ramirez as you will likely never get as much for him as you can this offseason. Alexei ramirez will be playing SS in September not semien.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 22, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) So he gets a pass forever? When Robin has a good team he will run them too the ground he sucks as a manager.
  9. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Aug 22, 2014 -> 08:20 PM) Ya he wasn't safe but, his path was clearly obstructed. We in new york what u expect the call too be.
  10. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Aug 22, 2014 -> 06:17 PM) El Hombre! EL CANON
  11. QUOTE (SoxnGiants @ Aug 22, 2014 -> 07:09 AM) I'd like to see him get consistent time at SS. I think these next few weeks offer that in AAA. If he can offer decent defense and a plus bat for SS, that's a great asset to have. I also love the way we've handled him. Moved him along as appropriate for his success in the minors, gave him a taste of MLB pitching to give him something to work on and then let him get his at bat's in AAA. Average is low but mostly a factor of bad BABIP for his norm. Still a very good OPS despite the dip in average. Very good prospect imo. I think he's a decent to good MLB starter in the future. We are not trading alexei ramirez.
  12. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 11:35 PM) They don't need replacement level pitching at 4th starter cost. I know nothing of the Angels but surely they can do better than John Danks. There are literally dozens of guys available to them that would make more sense just because it doesn't require a 20+ million dollar commitment. If the Sox want to pick up 10 million it's hardly even worth it imo. Just see if he can rebound at all if that's the price to offload him. Well i want one of dunn Beckham danks gone by September 1 this year.
  13. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 11:20 PM) no offense to John, who had a tough injury, but that's like totaling your brand new Mercedes sedan and replacing it with a '94 Ford Aerostar. As others have said, John's already passed waivers, I doubt anyone is interested in the guy with the worst peripherals in MLB among qualified starters and an ERA, in a deadball era, over 4.5 as well. They need pitching.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 09:59 PM) I think most Sox fans would welcome a trade or two to keep September interesting. My question to the people who might know: Have any lousy teams like the Sox thruout history made some Aug/September trades that acquire key pieces for the future? I mean trades past the trade deadline? It would be nice to see the Sox start acquiring some good bullpen pieces for next year and also start getting rid of lousy players like DeAza, Viciedo, Beckham, Dunn, maybe even Flowers though admittedly I like his long home runs. Garrett richards just got injured for the angels tonight would they be interested in john Danks.
  15. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 08:04 PM) Danks to the Angels and Beckham to the Cards please Danks probably been put through waivers already.
  16. QUOTE (SeƱor Ding-Dong @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 08:30 PM) I have no confidence in Leury doing anything positive here. Beckham would got out too there.
  17. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 20, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) I'd like to see him say the same thing about Gordo, who was a top 10 pick himself and way more of a headcase than Jackson. At least Jackson has had a solid career, Beckham hasn't done s***. Jackson getting lit up in national league
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 03:56 PM) Not enough to over-turn. I really wish they would tell the fans why they made the decision...like how they do it in football. Are u kidding me i was at the game he wasnt even tagged till his foot when on the bag new york is screwing alot lately.
  19. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 03:57 PM) Francisco looks to tag him again knowing he had missed him He didn't tag him till his foot was on the bag.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Noesi with his pants down on the bench He got hit in the thigh with baseball.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:46 PM) I absolutely agree with you it's a ridiculous call. New york hates the white sox
  22. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:38 PM) Even after the review they signaled it was tip though. There was no way it was tip by the bat.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:35 PM) After looking at the replay again on Flowers, the right call was made that he was out. However, it's cause he swung at the pitch, and not cause it hit his bat. They said it hit his bat he didnt swing it hit him.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 08:23 PM) Instant replay is a total joke. I know wats point having it if u cant get the call right.
  25. Any way the umps can screw the white sox they do it.
