  1. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 02:02 PM) Hopefully they lose in the most painful possible way. Oh that would be nice
  2. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 10:09 PM) BTW, what the Sox need to do is stop performing patch work. They need to do a full on rebuild with someone other than Kenny and IMO, other than Hahn and their current scouts. Clean house, built it correct. Problem is, they've already taken like 2 or 3 years building it wrong. Any FAs you sign should be either cheap scrapheap guys or people you intend on flipping at the deadline. Stay the course regardless of what fans say. You have to. Otherwise, pull a Yankees and buy the best players either in trades or elsewhere. Trot out a lineup of: Eaton Cabrera Cespedes Gonzalez Abreu Frazier Kendrick Ramirez Castro They arent going to go with a full rebuild. Jerry would fire whoever brings that up before it starts this year. Pretty obvious they have to go for it. They dont have a choice. Now maybe if it doesnt go right then yeah. But not in 2016.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 10:01 PM) You're so progressive. You seem really enlightened. He's close to getting demoted to troll.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 09:55 PM) Struggling offenses vs Cy caliber pitchers equals trouble More games would be better.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 09:51 PM) Lots of similarities between last night game and tonight Crap baseball
  6. Or hit into a DP lolol
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) Lt Frank Drebin is behind the plate tonight... Oh I wish.
  8. Adam Eaton is wondering what the hell happened to the plate
  9. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 08:27 PM) The Sharp trade looks horrible right now. Sharp needed to go. It's just unfortunate that they traded for a crap defender like Daley.
  10. Always good to come out for a 1 game playoff and choke.
  11. I wouldnt be holding up that crappy beer infront of the camera
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 08:20 PM) That Schwarber home run and resulting screams made me yearn for playoff baseball I care about Next year. 3 year plan...Robin returning...good times
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 08:18 PM) This must really suck for the Pirates. 2 years in a row they get the first WC spot and 2 years in a row they run into an absolute machine starting the game. Last year it was Bumgarner. This year it's Arrieta. Well making two pretty critical mistakes didnt help
  14. Those were some pathetic at bats
  15. Oh this strike zone..just throw it near the plate
  16. I was just in Chicago visiting family a few days ago and the Cub fever made me sick. I got yelled at once Facebook today for saying I'm not rooting for the Cubs. Seems like it's almost as bad as saying you hate the USA.
  17. That was right in the middle of the plate
  18. Welp see ya Pirates.
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 01:10 PM) Everyone is saying this. But the FA market is so weak. I don't see how this offseason can be any more active than last year's. They better be active and more importantly successful. Or I could see more than just Robin getting the boot next year.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 07:02 PM) This is why people hate Cub fans. The Cubs can't just win and be happy. For some stupid reason the entire world has to be happy for them. I wasn't happy when the Twins won. I wasn't happy when the Tigers made the World Series, why on God's green earth would I be happy that the Cubs won? Seriously, f*** the Cubs and their fans. Exactly. It'll be a cold day in hell when I root for the Cubs to win. I got asked the samething today from multiple people. "Well your from Chicago. Arent you going to root for the Cubs?". f*** no was my answer.
  21. I dont think they should sign anyone. Robin's great communication is going to help fix the problems. I'm sure of it.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) Would be sweet if he was traded to us for tomorrow's game. Now that would be cool
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 3, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) If you really think RV is the reason the Sox aren't a playoff team, you need to get off the Sox will suck for the foreseeable future and have so many holes train. No but it's been long enough where another voice is needed. He's one of a handful of coaches who have gotten a 5th year with his record. That's really what it comes down to. At some point you have to make a change just by default.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2015 -> 04:58 PM) They'll have to announce the extension then. I wouldnt be surprised if that happens anyway. Heck losing apparently equals a good job here. Might as well give him more security.
  25. Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 4m4 minutes ago Chicago, IL Hahn on message to fans: "I guess the message at the end of the day is about nobody here cares more about getting us back to win... Scott Merkin ‏@scottmerkin 3m3 minutes ago Chicago, IL More Hahn: ".. a championship as quickly as possible as the people making these decisions." https://twitter.com/scottmerkin I'm sold.
