  1. Well, I never wished he got hurt, he was already hurt when I posted.
  2. I think Manuel is a hell of a person, but he is no longer running this team effectively. How are the bats supposed to get going if he keeps changing the lineup everyday. I understand that Rowand is hot right now, but we have an all-star bat in Everett, and a future hall-of-famer in Alomar. They should be staples in the lineuday besides a days rest here and there. Send Rowand down if they want him to get at-bats. This lineup will never gel if Manuel continues to change it. So, if firing him will help that I say do it, But, I also say promote Wally Backman instead of one of these managers who haven't done anything with the teams they have managed in the past.
  3. I thought the Home Run Derby was great. The matchups of Pujols vs. Giambi and then Pujols vs. Anderson couldn't have been more exciting.
  4. Always good to see a Twins player go down.
  5. I think Sexson might win it. It's really hard to say though because these guys aren't perennial home run derby contestants like Bonds, Sosa, McGwire etc. I really think tonight is going to be an interesting event for the real baseball fans out there who know a little about the players in it. Granted, probably won't help out TV ratings without Sammy or Bonds, but for genuine baseball fans it should be good.
  6. Sexson will be good. Should be pretty decent with Delgado, Giambi, Sexson, and Sheffield. To be honest, I'm a little tired of seeing Sammy, the media prctically jerks off on TV when he is in it. Secondly I think that Sammy disgraced himself this year and should be nowhere near a field of all-stars right now.
  7. Alright, finally some All-Star justice for the Sox!
  8. Robbie Alomar. Maybe he will be the one ex-Indian to stick it to 'em. God knows Colon didn't.
  9. At least the Sox have alot to do with that. It was nice to finally watch the Sox figure out Joe Mays and bury him.
  10. I still think our division is pathetic. The NL Central is more competetive, which may account for the lower win percentage.
  11. The night game is on WGN.
  12. It's not really luck it's just the benefit of a weak division. Thank the lord!
  13. Yeah, the reason why this is not on WCIU is because of an Addams Family marathon. What a joke! I heard this on McNeil, Jurko, and Harry earlier this week.
  14. Yeah, but we had a legitimate offense to go with the pitching. KC's offense, while performing well right now is not anywhere near as proven as the Sox offense in 2000. Also, our offense this year with start to click, hopefully it won't be too late.
  15. I still think that KC is going to falter along the way, their pitching is so unproven and these young arms are going to get tired through the second-half. My hope is that Minnesota continues their pitiful playing and we heat up going into the All-Star break and after.
  16. I don't think that the fact he was one of the best players in the 90's is under question. It's what he has done recently that gives him a bit of a bad rep.
  17. I hope they take into account the Sox pitiful offense yesterday when deciding on the starter for Tuesday. Loaiza definitely deserves to go out that and start, and shut down the National League.
  18. Oh well, I didn't know that I could edit it, still a draft pick! Now I know. Thanks!
  19. I'm an idiot, I just realized I spelled idiot wrong, maybe I should proofread my post before submitting.
  20. What an idoit. He never ceases to amaze he by his ridiculous comments. I got an idea for you Sammy, try thinking just a little about what you are saying before you let your comments out.
  21. The White Sox have always been disappointing against sub-par teams, and teams on the West Coast when they play out there. To be honest I find the recent week's games disappointing, but not completely surprising.
  22. I agree. I am not ready to write this team off yet, but we need to go into the Jake and play well and take at least three of these games. We have played bad for the last week, but it can be turned around still. I am a firm beleiver that the trade, while I still think it was a good move, shook up a lineup that was finally producing. In the long run I think we will be better offensively, but they need to get it together real quick. Anytime you add two new bats to the lineup it is going to take a little bit for the team to get clicking again. This is the reason why I don't like JM messing with the lineup everyday.
  23. To be honest, unless they are going to teach Harris to swing the bat they can get rid of him too. I'm really tired of seeing him try to bunt himself on base.
