Interesting Splits for Buehrle
Wow. Is it just me, or did it seem MUCH worse than that? No, it was worse than just one bad month. The losses started in April, continued through May, and then he got back on track in June. Let's not forget that most of the losses in April. May. and June were in a row while he went on that winless streak.

I hope you're right. It be nice to see Frank lead the charge for this team again.

Hooray! We have a .300 Hitter!
I got a feeling we may have a couple .300 hitters by the time the season is over. Things are heating up on the offensive side so it'll be interesting.

SOX WIN 5-2
Back at .500 and five games behind the Royals. Hopefully the Twins lose and we take over second place. One game at a time, man, one game at a time.

Lee's baserunning
If we won the game how exactly did he cost us? Let's just be thankful for what we got, there is no reason to go looking for things to complain about if we won the game. There are enough things to complain about when we lose.

Garrett Anderson
Because he wasn't voted on to be the starter, and he was considered a long shot to win the HR Derby. That's how.

Cubune
f*** the Cubs and the Tribune. I think it's prett amusing though that they try to change the focus from the Cubs and their s***ty team and even s***tier management to what goes on on the south side. How many times have all of you heard, "At least no drunk fans run onto the field at Wrigley". This coming from fans whose teams repeatedly mortgage their farm system on trades that get them nowhere, and have no intent of ever winning because their fans are so dumb and drunk that they come out to watch there team lose all the time. I understand that the Tribune Company owns the team, but they should at least be a little unbiased when reporting White Sox news. Otherwise they should just stop covering the Sox altogether if they can't hold back some of their criticism while praising the dumb-ass Cubs :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou

Stewart traded to Minnesota
The Twins do need pitching. Radke has become very unpredictable, and we all know what happened to Mays.

Proof that KW might have some sort of clue?

Trade Rumors
Gonzalez would also have to waive the no trade clause on his contract. I don't know if he would do that to go to KC. I mean, the guy loves Texas.

Chris Berman
I think the reason that they use Chris Berman because he is entertaining to the general public, and kids and clueless sports fans like all of his nicknames and catchphrases. I think ESPN could have made a better choice as who the announcer would be as well, but I think they wanted Berman's flare for the dramatic. I think Berman is alot like Vitale though, people just like emotional annoucers. I definitely like him on ESPN's NFL programs. I think there are people better suited to do basebabut I won't say that he is the worst by any means.
-
anyone listening to ESPN?
Why wouldn't the NY Times say they liked Royce Ring? They have a history of loving who they trade for, and tearing apart who they trade. It makes the dumbass NY population think their team is making the right move.

New voting procedure
I think that home field advantage is a little extreme. They should have just informed each manager that they are going to play the game out so there is no tie. That was the problem last year. If the managers would've just manged the game carefully and knew that the game wouldn't end in a tie there wouldn't be this problem. Who cares if one or two pitchers don't get to play, being named an All-Star should be enough of an honor. An exhibition game should be just that, nothing more.

Home Rum Derby Grades
I give it a 10. It was nice to see the new faces in there. I thought it was very entertaining and didn't lack in home runs one bit.

Chris Berman
If you actually read my post, I said Chris Berman is like the Harry Carey of ESPN, popularity wise. I would mention anyone in the same breath as Harry Carey. He should have left the game ten years before he did. He made a mockery of his profession with his drunk incoherent ramblings. I've never liked Harry Carey.

Chris Berman
What do you mean by he doesn't have any right to do play by play?
-
Chris Berman
ESPN would never get rid of Chris Berman though, he is like the Harry Carey of ESPN. Granted his catchphrases get a little tiring, but so does everyone's.

New voting procedure
I really think that if they had a little simple trivia before you got to vote and it was required to be correct before you got to vote it would help eliminate people voting for players that don't deserve to be there.
-
Sox finally getting media attention
I have to disagree about Sosa. For the corked bat incident alone he does not deserve to be there.

Burnitz.....
Sorry about the last post. Should've researched before posting. The Giants backed out of a three way deal that would land Benitez in a Yankees uniform. But, Peter Gammons did say something last night about Weaver going to Boston. It hasn't happened yet, but I really don't think that would be a smart move.
-
Burnitz.....
Didn't the Yankees get Benitez yesterday? And why in God's name would the Yankees trade Weaver to Boston. I thought you don't trade players within your division, especially to division rivals in the playoff hunt.

DID anyone catch any balls @ the HR Derby....
I think he was talking about anyone on here catching any of the homerun balls.
