Carlos does YARD WORK and it's 13-1 WHITE SOX. Man he's a clutch hitter with runner's on in scoring position.

Extra ticket for tomorrow night's game!

I'll buy the ticket from you if u can fly me over to Chicago from Australia. -
It's nice to talk about being in the playoffs, but we still ain't there yet. I hope our good vibes about finally winning the division doesn't come back to hurt us. Regardless, I wouldn't want to play Seattle 1st either, I think they're the team to beat with all that speed they got in the outfield and if Moyer and Piniero turn it on.

The Aaron Rowand of the first month of the season, sucked. He couldn't hit the ball a lick had sumthink like a .150 average and got demoted to Charlotte. The Aaron Rowand who has come back Charlotte has been getting base hits, running into outfield walls to save home runs and putting his bod on the line (ok maybe a little bit too much). But if more guys on this team put in as much effort as he did this team could maybe reach its potential. Aaron Rowand probably doesn't have half the talent of a Maggs Ordonez, but at least he puts in every single game he plays and doesn't complain about his role. And for the worst player gotta be Rcik White, who couldn't pitch one inning without giving up a bomb. At least his fat can is down in Houston. Let's hope he stuffs up their pennant race and then every1 will know he shouldn't even be pitching in a single A or little league game.

Isn't it great to have another great young lefty in our Rotation, which is probably one of the best in the league if u think about it. Mulder may be out for the season, so Oakland now only has da big 3, Arizona has Johnson, Schilling and Webb which is a pretty damn good threesome if they get it goin, but we've 4 guys (Colon, Buerhle, Loaiza and maybe Garland) who can probably win 15 games if they get enough run support, and Cotts a developing lefty who's a bit like Buerhle if he can get his control problem worked out.

Looks like this is Neal's best chance for gettin his first ever major league win, let's hope he doesn't blow a 4-0 lead. -

I wonder if 3 runs is a big enough lead for Cotts to hang onto. I'm guessing probably not not against this Texas lineup, so we probably need to put some more runs on da board. Great start again though. -

I'm amazed Jose actually hit a homer against a lefty, I think it's only his 2nd homer of the year against one. -
Da Twins r starting to scare me a lot. We need da Royals to win da next 3 in that series or I think u could probably stick a fork in them, cos they'll be done. Stewart's making some clutch hits for them, and their starters r starting to pitch ok again. Every1's talking bout how good da Royals have been, and how the Sox (long overdue) have been finally picking it up, but da Twins have snuck up on a lot of ppl. They're beginning to get in that Early Season Form they had which ain't a good sign.

GAME THREAD (8-21): Team Viagra vs. White Sox
DBAHO replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hey I just saw the score for the first time, Sox up 4-0, YES! Looks like Bartolo is pitching one hell of a game so far, how many K's does he have? -
Well I became a Sox Fan a few years ago for 2 main reasons, cos I like their uniforms, both the black and grey one's, and cos of Frank Thomas when he was playing at a MVP level in the mid 90's.

GAME THREAD (8-21): Team Viagra vs. White Sox
DBAHO replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
C'mon White Sox let's give the Viagra Rangers a dose of their own medicine. If Colon can get through the early innings without imploding, we should win. No way Lewis pitches that good against us again, not at home anyways. -
Precisely, EFFORT. Or lack thereof. Buehrle makes the effot, even when he was off on his lousy start, it was not because he didn't step up. Colon does not step up unless it's in his best interest, not the team's. The 'tub o' goo' had better make an effort tonight, this franchise is about to turn on him. Exaclty right, I think Colon needs to make a statement tonight. We can't have him winning 4 straight games looking like an ace and then losing 4 straight with the fans calling for his head and telling him to stop eating cheeseburgers.
-
And probably one of the most underrated as well, if only that team had some pitching.
-
At least the guy has cut down more on his errors this year and he's still one of the best clutch players we got, e.g 3 homers vs Kansas City. However, unless his average goes up quite a bit, there's no way we bring him back for the 6 mil, i'm thinking maybe 2 mil with incentives.
-
Do u think we got the better part of that deal with Oakland with Chad Bradford goin over to them. If Olivo develops, (which he should) into a .260 hitter who can steal about 20 bases and use that cannon of his, then I think we came out on top for this one.
-
Well let's hope the real Colon the one who throws fastballs, strikes and throws a complete game shows up against Texas today and not his alter ego, the one who gets hammered early.
-
Whatever happened to those limited edition Sammy Sosa action figures with the corked bats?
-
Miguel's got some great speed as well, evidenced when he beat out that bunt 2 games ago against the Angels. How many catchers in the big leagues have his speed?
-
Great, finally I get to watch the Sox for the first time ever live. Hope that's kind of a good luck charm.
