QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) He also has the Cowboys at 23 and had them at 27 last week. Yep, I've seen the Cowboys from 15 down to 27 in a lot of different rankings. It all comes down to how good the defense will be with the 3-4, and how Drew Bledsoe does though. With Chicago, you know the defense is going to hold up their end of the bargain, it all comes down to the offense.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) I was a big fan of the Carmen SanDiego games. We had so many of those. I loved them.. Yeah we played those games a lot too when we were younger. Nothing like hearing funny eerie music, while you see the robber run across the screen.

Ok more rankings, Bears at 29 from FoxSports; http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/4802386 While in 10 bold predictions from the same site (Adam Schein), it says Julius Jones will lead the NFL in rushing and Kyle Orton will have more wins than Brett Favre; http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/4824606

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) Here you can get RC for 79 cents, 95 cents Australian... Good to see someone's been attending their Foreign Exchange Currency Classes........ And are we talking 1 or 2 litres here? Usually coke is about $1 a litre in a supermarket, while if you buy it at say a fast food joint, 600ML can cost over $2.50. A rip - off.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) Does this mean we might have a World Series with teams from actually around the World? Yeah I've always heard that argument from non - American Baseball Fans "How can ya have a world series if only America is represented?" Too bad they can't come down here though, but that would never happen.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) Out of Pepsi and Coke, I prefer RC. Usually cheaper and sugarier. Never really tried RC before, looks like a no - name brand for me. So it's Coke all the way, goes good with some Southern Comfort (2 bottles with Caramel from LAX comes in handy nowadays).....

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) Imagine my surprise when 3:45 this morning a girl I've only met once before was standing beside my loft pulling off the covers....... And how long have you been at college for?

Right now Freddy should be pitching game one, JG game two, and then game 3 comes down to Buerhle or Contreras. I'd still pick Buerhle, he's a gamer, and I think he's gonna get things figured out, he's had lulls in his career before, and he's bounced back from them, and I don't think this is going to be an exception. I will say this however. How ironic that people want Jose Contreras to be our #1 starter in the playoffs now. I remember a point after a 7 or 8 walk performance in July against the Oakland Athletics were people were so desperate to get rid of him, they were queing up. Just showing the fluctuations you can have about how you feel for a player.

Just remember that Blum was picked up as insurance for Crede. Well with Crede on the DL, if we didn't have Blum, Pablo Ozuna would have to play everyday. I don't want that to happen.

QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) I dont like Blum at all. He strikeouts alot, leaves runners on base, doesnt advance runners ever, has the same swing point on every pitch "breaking ball, splitter, slider..." doesnt adjust And doesnt play a very good third base. Has already commited several errors and bone headed plays over there. Not really what I consider a good player.... not even a good utility player. Ozuna is MUCH better than he is and that's saying lot considering how much 3rd base can be an adventure for him. 1 - Blum can play any position in the infield. 2 - He has a 42/28 K/BB ratio this season. A lot better than say Tadahito Iguchi. 3 - Yep his fielding percentage and errors at 3rd for us ain't great, but they're way below the norm for him.

Mike I'd be interested, so just send me the details. Anyways, League 1's draft is in just under 2 days. Ozzie Montana wants to join, but we've got 10 teams, so we need an extra player to bump it up to 12, if anyone wants to join. I'll PM you the details.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) Blum had a chance to win some fans tonight and get the hit in extras to win it. He didn't. Don't like him. 1 bad game shouldn't automatically make you hate a player.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) At least the Angels can bunt the ball. Unlike Jermaine's s*** ass try. He hasn't had a sac bunt since 2001, why do you even ask him to bunt in the 1st place when he's one of your best power hitters? -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 01:38 PM) I think the better question is why was Blum traded for. Willie Harris. -

QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) on that play only a perfect throw beats him, i think you gotta take that chance, but that's just me. Well Cora's known for sending the runner pretty much in all cases, so you knew he was going. And there we go, Blum flies out, if Rowand stays at 3rd, game over. -

QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) had to send him, just a great throw by rivera. I dunno, 1 out, Cora's probably gonna get 2nd guessed for that. -
