I can't see us investing more than $25 million a season for 3 starting pitchers unless we get an increase in payroll. And u know JR don't like signin starters long term either.

I can't see us resignin both Loaiza AND Garcia, so I think Freddy stays on a 4 year deal around 35 million. Loaiza will sign with someone like Texas on a 2 year deal of about $7 to $8 million with an option year. Valentin might or might not come back depending if KW thinks Juan Uribe is ready to take over the SS job full time. We'll definitely hav offseason spending money of around $10 to $15 million I'd think, and we should go afta bullpen help, a center fielder and a cheaper starter that we can plug into the back end of the rotation.

Yet another piece in the offseason puzzle. We definitely won't keep one of Garcia, Valentin, Maggs and Loaiza. I'm guessin we'll prob lose 2 of em actually.

It all depends on how Jones handles the Cell. He could hit anywhere from .230 to .290, and that will determine whether or not he'd be a sucess at the Cell. Otherwise we'd hav a case of a Preston Wilson in Florida, a guy who hit for a lot of power, but K'd a lot and could hit for a good average, eventually he was traded to the Rockies.

It's a 2 team race, although the Tribe believe they can steal the division with the signin of Aaron Boone to a 2 year deal. They could go afta sum1 like Urbina, but I know Shapiro doesn't want to giv up his prospects. Realistically if Maggs and Freddy leave next year, we've got some big holes to fill, and we might as well rebuild. Invest in young position players, give Borchard the RF spot, and sign a young starter or 2. We could hav a situation where we'll hav lots of early draft picks in the draft again.

After missing out on Freddy Garcia, George Steinbrenner will do something big. Randy Johnson big.

We are paying the rest of Garcia's salary this season, $3,700,000 I believe. Seattle is paying the rest of Ben Davis' contract which is $700,000 and finishes this season as well.
