AFTER her parents sued her over what they say is their share of a $US5 million ($6.81 million) waterfront home, Anna Kournikova has filed a countersuit in an effort to get her parents' names off the deed. The tennis player filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Wednesday, about a week after Sergei and Alla Kournikova sued their daughter in the same court. The parents want money for their share of the Miami Beach home, which they claim Anna Kournikova has taken over. All three are listed as owners of the seven-bedroom, seven-bath home, according to property records. Anna Kournikova claims in the lawsuit that she paid the entire $US5 million ($6.81 million) purchase price, plus an additional $US1 million ($1.36 million) for improvements. "Anna tried to resolve this dispute out of court and is disappointed that it has become a matter of public record," said her attorney, Michael Chesal. "She is terribly saddened by the situation." Kournikova, 22, who has never won a tournament and is known mostly for her supermodel looks, has not played competitive tennis in more than a year because of injuries.

From da Trib, Ozzie Guillen relaxed Wednesday by attending a taping of Jerry Springer's show at the NBC Tower downtown. "I like the show because they have fun," the White Sox manager said. "I wanted to see it live and have a great time. Those guys [running the show] treated me real well. And I will be back there again. I had fun. I didn't want to make it a big deal. I just wanted to get in there and see what it looked like. Off camera, Jerry [springer] said he was happy to have me there. I was glad because Steve [Wilkos, show security chief] is a Cubs fan and Jerry is a Yankees fan. And we kicked their butt [in the playoffs and World Series as a Marlins coach] last year. That's why I liked it." … When informed that Guillen attended the show, Tampa Bay manager Lou Piniella said: "I would have never guessed that. You could have given me 80 shows and I would have never guessed that. I don't watch Springer." Piniella, who is in his 17th year as a big-league manager, appreciates Guillen's enthusiasm as a first-year manager. "He has got an upbeat personality, and it is new for him. Plus he has a nice ballclub," Piniella said. "It's a lot easier that way than when you are struggling with the team you are managing. But at the same time you still need to come here expecting to win. There is a fine balance here. You have to have a lot of patience, but you still have to have some expectations. As far as the love of the game, I love it more when we win than when we lose. Losing just tires you. It's not easy. You don't sleep good. You wake up and you're thinking all the time. I'll put it this way, for a person who has a little bit of a drinking problem, I wouldn't advocate this type of job." … Guillen considers Frank Thomas the greatest White Sox player ever. "When his career is over, he will be one of the best White Sox players ever. He should be Mr. White Sox. Not Minnie [Minoso], not Luis [Aparicio], not Harold [baines], not Pudge [Carlton Fisk]. I think Frank Thomas should be Mr. White Sox. He should be a Hall of Famer. He has the numbers to be in the Hall of Fame."

There's been rumors of Allen goin to Portland for Randolph or Adbul - Rahim. I only said Kirilenko should hav won it, because Zach only contributes on the offensive end. Kirilenko is the league's best defensive playa in my opinion, gets so many steals and blocks.

Damn, Sweeney's in my fantasy team.

Small steps for Borchard, but he's pickin it up slowly.

I'm lookin forward to seein Lopez pitch at Kannapolis, sounds like he could be a pitcher in the future.
-
I'm all for this move and Valido and Gray will get more consistent playin time, although I will say it is a bit disheartining for sum players to see sum1 like Andy Gonzalez who hasn't exactly got his head on straight get a call up when he hasn't really deserved it. Let's hope he makes the most of his oppurtunities at Winstom Salem though.

Detroit won't take Jackson at #6, they'll try to trade down with Pittsburgh or Buffalo to get him. Othawise I think Tampa Bay will snap him up at #15, since Pittman is now goin to jail. Dallas won't reach for Perry at #22, they'll trade down if Jones or Jackson are off the board to get more picks. They need O-Line and D-Line depth badly, especially since Larry Allen is goin to get traded since he's in Parcells' Doghouse. If Andrews is on the board at #22, Dallas will pick him.

Still can't see the Bears pickin a WR. If Harris or Wilfork are still on the board when the Bears pick at #14, I think they go with one of them, othawise they trade down with Miami or Dallas. They won't take Evans at #20, Evans won't go in the 1st round, he's slippin, Reggie Williams could still be on the board and would be a much betta pick. My sleeper for the Bears pick though is Will Smith, if they can't get Ogunleye, then could seriously look at this pass rushing DE. -
