  1. I don't understand the point of burning Crochet in a 6 run game. If he was going to come in, bringing him in for Brantley in the 4th was obliviously the time to do it.
  2. That's been the case for their entire careers, so I don't see any reason for it to change in the future
  3. I agree with you. But guys are going to get hurt and underperform next season. We saw how crucial depth was this season. Sheets will still get a ton of playing time next year even if he isn't handed a starting spot on Opening Day next year.
  4. I don't know, but the Sox played to a 106 win pace at home and an ~80 win pace on the road. I would have liked to find out what changes, personally, because we know both of these teams are much better at home than on the road.
  5. Sheets is useful and necessary depth, but he shouldn't be plan A for next season anywhere on the roster
  6. Eloy is a bad first week of April from his career wRC+ dropping below Madrigal's. Maybe he'll get there, but expecting Eloy to be a great hitter does require some wish casting, at this point
  7. The Sox should look at every starting position player on their roster and ask would this guy start for the Astros, Rays, Doders, Giants. etc. Engel and Leury are resounding no's. Same (obliviously) goes for Cesar and he was their plan A plan at 2B for this year and next, which obliviously isn't good enough.
  8. If you look at Eloy's career offensive stats, they are very underwhelming relative to what the perception of him as a hitter is
  9. I know he's had a good season, but the same can also be said of Leury. Neither guy is good enough to be a plan A option at this level.
  10. Teams have zero fear of pitching Eloy middle-middle right now
  11. Might as well make Lynn wear this considering the game is likely over now.
  12. If only the Sox could have known he wasn't 100% before the game started 🙂
  13. I think Lynn starting game 4 on short rest can be safely ruled out
  14. Dusty and TLR might be the only 2 managers in the game that wouldn't have Tucker or Robet batting in their teams respective top 4 lineup spots
  15. I think you're going to be disappointed about RF. They'll want to have clear avenues to playing time for Vaughn and Sheets. Engel will still be there too, of course. but I'd love to be wrong.
