  1. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:25 PM) I know this is what you are supposed to do on a message board, but the whole argument is stupid. No one should be diminishing what Saad is just because he's gone. He was a big loss, no matter who replaced him. However, in a case like Saad, you can't even really blame the Hawks. That whole situation was a mess, and I believe if he had any other agent, he'd still be a Hawk. Saad could have been a lifetime Blackhawk in a perfect world. It didn't happen. All things considered, the team turned out okay. Every time I think I'm sad for Saad, I realize all the money he made and i'm over it.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) Jimmy's a main reason Thibs is gone. Yep. The Front office pretty much encouraged him and others to ignore Thibs.
  3. I think we're all a little worked up (and justifiably so), but let's just focus on the next game and worry about the offseason when it comes. I tended to be pessimistic about the Seabrook signing, but a lot can happen now and the series is not over.
  4. The only discouraging thing for me right now is the defense. They have a bunch of talented forwards, but teams are protecting their defensemen. I would thing that will be the troublesome thing going forward.
  5. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) I would say all things considered, about an 80% chance that was the final game of Shaw's Blackhawks career. Feelings for Shaw aside, the Hawks really can't afford to overpay for his talent level, which is what they would inevitably do.
  6. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:13 AM) He was pissed after that stick to the face the refs didn't call. I don't care what he said, it is sports. The check was a boneheaded play. But the dude plays with more heart than anyone, and had a goal and two assists in the game. You should care. This thread can go south fast if you want to unpack all the difficulty the LGBTQ faces in their everyday lives and that word is one of the worst of the modern slurs. Sports or not, Shaw was caught saying something horrible on live television.
  7. Batting practice all star.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:02 AM) I'd rather have Anisimov and Panarin now and moving forward than Saad and Sharp. Saad still hurts to lose, but I agree.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:47 PM) Bring up Bickell Kane Toews Bickell Panarin Teuvo Hossa Ladd Anisimov Shaw Panik Kruger Weise It can't hurt. It can't. After all, it was the first round in 2013 that got Bickell his dumb contract.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if Blackhawks management has a talk with Andrew Shaw. Bad behavior all around to close the game out. Sounds like homophobic slurs, flipping off, and instigating fights. Video: https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/6C8A6CE234...9841655e554.mp4
  11. I for one, am ready to be done with Andrew Shaw. Cap casualty I'll gladly let walk.
  12. Can't fight like that. Shaw is looking to get in trouble.
  13. Offsides. Dumb rule, but we'll take it.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:24 PM) I wonder if Toews is just worn down from playing so much hockey the last 3 years, something just seems a tad bit off. I don't like his current line mates. Say what you want about Ladd, but Toews has had subpar line mates all year.
  15. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:21 PM) That's s***ty all the way around with 2 minutes left. Shaw was stupid. The officials had put half the team in the box earlier in the period. Shaw potentially throws this game away.
  16. This feels like overtime.
  17. Tarasenko scored for the Blackhawks. Jesus.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:03 PM) That literally has nothing to do with their performance. This team is still very good. They haven't really shown up and they are playing a team that clearly wants it more. Oduya absolutely does. The lack of defensive depth is killing this team. At the same time, Oduya was a lost signing, so not entirely on Bowman.
  19. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:02 PM) If the trading of Oduya, Sharp and Saad was the nail in this coffin, then god f***ing damnit it was a great run and I enjoyed the hell out of it I doubt it's the end of it. The only one that's really killing the Blackhawks is Oduya being gone. At some point, Bowman has to draft or find his replacement.
  20. ODUYA COME BACK PLEASE!
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:25 PM) Elliott has a horseshoe up his ass Lots of shots right into his torso.
  22. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Looks like they are just trying to kill each other now St. Louis has completely lost focus. Officiating is going to be super tight now
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 10:06 PM) How the hell is that on Panarin? It's not. It's a zero tolerance policy on behalf of the officials. Don't fight. Good playoff teams know better, which is why it's so surprising that Crawford left his net to fight someone.
  24. Corey Crawford initiates a fight and the Blackhawks go on a Power Play. Better win.
