  1. Yeah I think you and @TaylorStSox missed my sarcasm.
  2. Eloy 0-3 Zavala 0-4 Gonzalez 1-4 Robert 2-5 Madrigal 1-4 Rutherford 1-3
  3. You forgot that they’re getting a 2nd and a 5th back, too. Comparing contract and signing bonus, Donald’s is less than $10M annually for the first year or two.
  4. RT @AdamSchefter: Khalil Mack and the Bears just reached agreeement on a record-setting 6-year, $141 million extension ($23.5M per year avg) that includes $90M guaranteed and $60M at signing, source tells ESPN. Mack is the new highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.
  5. I believe 2019-2021 are the prime years for this roster assuming Trubisky is good, so while I'm with you on the fact that it won't be a SB team this year, a Mack acquisition is big time.
  6. What move? Mack wasn't going to be available in 2019. There's a good chance that a guy like this isn't traded again for another decade.
  7. That's what I said. Even if Mack is Reggie White, the team stinks and everyone is fired in January 2022 if Trubisky is Christian Ponder/EJ Manuel/Blake Bortles. I do disagree on "win-now." The Bears offense should be expected to sputter at times this year. It's a brand new system and the QB is still relatively raw. They have a ton of guys 27 years old or younger, Mack included. It's win-now and win-then. They have 3-4 years to win a championship before Trubisky (ideally) gets paid.
  8. His cap hit will be no higher than $15M at any point due to signing bonuses and guarantees. The Bears won't be picking top 15 anymore now (ideally), so yes, I think he's worth that deal and two bottom third first rounders. That's my opinion though. Everyone is excited but we won't know for a few years, and as great as Mack is, if Trubisky never develops this deal means nothing and Pace is fired and they have the first pick in the draft in 2022.
  9. The Saints traded two first round picks for a rookie DE/OLB from Texas-San Antonio. The Bears traded two first round picks for arguably the most terrorizing defensive player in the sport. I know some of you love draft picks, but considering Mack's abilities and Pace's ability to draft well later in the draft, I'm f***ing pumped up.
  10. RT @RapSheet: One team to watch in the Khalil Mack sweepstakes: The #Bears. They have been undercover, but others in the mix are watching them and waiting. Would be a big move.
  11. Eloy 2-4, 2B Basabe 0-4 Zavala 0-4 Rutherford 3-5 Madrigal 1-5 Gonzalez 1-3, 2 BB
  12. A fourth in three years would be a good problem to have.
  13. Black = African American. Eloy is from the Dominican Republic. He isn't "black."

  15. "I thought they could turn it around, but then I couldn't defend them anymore so I said they were horrible, but now Giolito is good so I was right once upon a time and everyone else gave up too soon." Do I have that right?
  16. He also thought Giolito sucked and then 3 weeks later he thought he was good and now he's all "I told you he was good!"
  17. Weird thing to post about a player during said player’s good stretch of baseball
