  1. I know and I agree, and even if they didn't want to invest more in Trubisky, they have no choice due to the Mack trade. All I was commenting on was the lack of talent in this year's draft class. You highlighted Herbert but even if Trubisky plays this way for weeks 4-17, they still wouldn't have been in position to get Herbert because they're a 5-6 win team regardless.
  2. Meanwhile, I know that PFF is a joke because they have their "5 best defensive players in football" list out and Mack didn't make the cut.
  3. But the Bears aren't going to be the worst team in football, so unless you like Drew Lock, the mediocre Iowa QB, the slighty-above-average Northwestern QB, or the underwhelming NC State guy, it's a moot point since Herbert is likely going #1 or #2; it's going to be a terrible QB draft.
  4. Probably not, since in one of the 3 games, he turned the ball over 3 times. Mack was already a top 5 player in football, and this year he's taking it to an entirely different level of dominance. If the Bears get into the playoffs and if he stays healthy, he could win DPOY unanimously.
  5. Mack is playing better than any other player in football, so he IS (present tense) the best player in the league. The only guy who's currently playing better than Mack is maybe Pat Mahomes, therefore, Mack/Mahomes > any other individual player right now. When Rodgers is healthy, he's the best.
  6. They gave up two 1’s and got a 2 and the best player- yes the BEST- in football. I’m not sure why you hate it so much. The Bears roster is set for this year and next. It’s not like they have a lot of spots that are weak.
  7. Seattle and Detroit might stink, too. I've been to some road games- Carolina 2010, Tennessee 2012- where it was a lot of Bears fans. I've never seen anything like yesterday. Usually the home team can drown out the "Let's go Bears" chants, but they couldn't. The Cardinals got booed as they were introduced.
  8. The problem is, they aren't "bad calls." The rule is bad- very very bad- but it's a rule. By definition, those were good calls according to the rule.
  9. Besides the Rams, maybe the Saints, maybe the Eagles, who else is that good in the NFC so far for the NFC to still be considered "loaded?" No one is laughing at the Bears. They're a 7, 8 or 9 win team this year, and assuming more growth from Jackson, Howard, Floyd, Fuller, Amos, Leno, Miller, Shaheen, Whitehair, and most importantly Trubisky, they're a playoff team in 2019.
  10. A short week against a desperate team in their stadium. At the end of the year, they don’t ask how. Trubisky did a lot of average but some good. This is going to take time. Wentz was very average in his first season. This offense is complicated. Keep feeding Howard and keep allowing Hicks & Mack to feast.
  11. The good news is that whether the Sox get pick 3, 4 or 5 it will be another big shot in the arm for the farm system?
  12. What's a big deal? You said: "Palka, like Anderson, has an OBP that is too low for my liking" And then moments later changed it to... "Yeah, I looked into it a little and I think he has something like a .373 OBP over the last month so I think he earned an opportunity to DH in 2019"
  13. You changed your entire tune on this in a matter of minutes
  14. That's impressive. Normally, pitchers catch up on tendencies and make it even more challenging on hitters, but instead Palka continues to crush the ball. Nice to see.
  15. On every website- Football Reference, NFL, Wikipedia- it currently shows 6'1 (fun fact: McNown is now a wealth management advisor in California)
  16. Orioles Royals White Sox .391 Marlins .391 Padres .399
  17. Your final sentence implies that you believe it isn't bad luck anymore that the majority of the franchise's QB's have stunk, and therefore (assuming we're not going into higher powers) what you're saying is that the men who tried to develop the QB's in- let's say 1948- have some effect/bearing on the 1968, 1988, and now the 2018 Bears QB's. Am I reading this correctly?
  18. I was at the game, and when he was rushing the offense to the line of scrimmage on 1st & 2nd and Goal, I was utterly confused. But, maybe one of their better players was off the field and he wanted them to stay on the sideline by hurrying.
