I agree with the call, actually, but I get why some wouldn’t. Yes Alonso was running right at him, but Burton can’t dip his shoulder. Move out of the way or something. Dipping your shoulder and hitting a defender in the chest with it is going to be called everytime. Pereira agreed with the call, fwiw.

You are what your record shows. You’re assuming that if he’s aggressive on 3rd and 4 that Trubisky gets a first down. You can’t assume that. They should be 3-2 and they are. In the two losses, the defense stunk for 4 of the 8 quarters and the offense stunk for 4 of the 8 quarters. They deserved both L’s.

BTW, he wasn’t pissy about the questions except for one (which IMO he had a right because if Trubisky does throw a pick, it’s incomplete or he takes a sack, it’s mayhem). I think he was mostly pissed with the Burton OPI and the Floyd penalty & didn’t want to say much more to avoid being fined.

Correct. Everyone’s obsessed with that 3rd and 4 call in OT. Even if they throw it, there’s no guarantee it’s a completion. They also paid Parkey a ton of money. 54 yard FG’s aren’t easy, but if he’s struggling to make 45-55 yard FG’s in places like Arizona and Miami, I worry about him come December. They turned the ball over twice inside the 11. Those are killer turnovers.

I doubt he doesn't suit up, but man, I'm salivating at the thought of Osweiler playing 60 minutes against this D. As a matter of fact, there was a game a few years back when Mack tormented the Broncos and Osweiler to the tune of FIVE sacks in one game (one of which went for a safety). Sign me up for round two!

McAdoo was a train wreck as a coach, but people calling Manning’s benching “disrespectful” and a “gross use of power” look really stupid now. Manning is absolutely atrocious right now and he should still be on the bench.

Why would McAdoo bench Eli and ruin such a long games played streak?!?! Uh, maybe because HE FUCKING SUCKS. At this point I’d rather have any other QB.

Best they could get is a 4th (that’s what Miami got for Ajayi), but I would wait until the offseason. Use it on Benny Snell.

I still expect them to win 8-9 games, but I’d now be upset about it because I underestimated how great this defense is whereas prior to the year, I would have been satisfied.

I brought up a few pages back that he's been the best player in football this year, and I still stand by it. GMFB had a segment a day or two ago that was essentially "if they had the top 100 voting now, would be the top 3?" Two of the four had Mack #1, one had Mahomes and the other had Gurley (IIRC).
