  1. No, he already sucks. That's what @Jack Parkman and @StrangeSox say so that's the final determination. It's funny how those two posters likely think Moncada will be fine and to be patient but meanwhile Trubisky already blows. What a concept.
  2. Very helpful. Thank you!
  3. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but how is Cease at 95?
  4. Anyone ever been to the Grand Canyon? I'm going to be there this weekend. Just wanted to know about tours, if there are fees just to walk up and take pictures or can I do that free of cost, if there are gift shops, etc. Thanks!
  5. But it's September so it's meaningless.
  6. Yeah, that's exactly what I said: Mahomes was a gun-slinger in an offense that never produced NFL talent. Tech has never produced a big time NFL QB until now. And yes, that's also what I said. Because of Mahomes' consistent starts in college and the one year behind Smith/Reid, he's gotten an invaluable head start. He's looking great. Hopefully Trubisky looks great soon as well. EDIT- I see the confusion. I said "in an offense" rather than "at a school that never produced NFL talent." Yes, I meant at a school.
  7. Sherman got cut, Avril and Chancellor retired, and they traded Bennett. That'll do it. Kind of reminds me of how the Bears seemingly never invested in the OL from 2007-2011, and when they did (Carimi, Williams, Omiyale), the guys stunk. Not sure why any organization would invest so much into a QB and then not find capable blocking, but I hope Mack, Floyd and Hicks make them regret it tonight. Agree on the 5-6 wins. If Wilson were to suffer a serious injury, they might go 1-15/2-14.
  8. I'm not rewriting it. Everyone knew what "raw" meant for Trubisky. He played 13 games in 4 calendar years. He had next to no on-field time to fix his bad tendencies and improve on his good ones, and when he did, he was also in a goofy system where he was in the shotgun almost every snap as well (granted, not as nuts at Texas Tech's). Mahomes had a ton of time to those things in college, and then he had a year behind Andy Reid and Alex Smith. I'm not making excuses, but what I just said is nothing but the truth. Agree on Howard. He should have 22+ carries and Cohen should have another 8+. Literally guys as talented as you and I are playing linebacker for Seattle tonight.
  9. Mahomes was a gun-slinger in an offense that never produced NFL talent despite any QB in that system always putting up huge college numbers. Trubisky played 13 games. Trubisky was raw coming out. Mahomes was simply in a bad offense to transition out of.
  10. Fair, but you would have said the same last year about Watson. Mahomes had the luxury of sitting a year under Andy Reid and behind Alex Smith. Trubisky had the luxury of sitting 4 games under Dowell Loggains and behind Mike Glennon. Mahomes may be the better QB when it’s all said and done, but the only way it was a mistake is if Trubisky is awful and Mahomes is good or great.
  11. 1) I have nothing to add and I have no opinion. 2) They care about heads, not knees/thighs (unless you play QB). 3) The clock always stops when a player goes OOB but it restarts as soon as the ball is spotted. If you go out of bounds under- if I remember correctly- 5 minutes, it stops until the next snap.
  12. Minnesota using a 5th round pick on a kicker instead of an OL flyer (you know, that roster’s weakest position) was a nice move for that organization.
  13. Glazer said that it’s a deep bone bruise and a ligament strain.
  14. Will be one of 4 or 5 guys in baseball who finish with 25 SB, 20 HR, and 30 doubles. People keep forgetting that he was EXTREMELY raw, yet he continues to gain confidence year after year & his defense has been tremendous.
  15. No Wagner or KJ Wright on Monday. If the Bears don’t run the ball 28 times...
  16. Green = sarcasm I think the posters that expect him to hit 20 HR's a year or continuously rip on him for not being able to are foolish.
  17. Can't be. He hasn't hit a homer or triple in any minor league PA's yet!
  18. Trubisky's explanation was very mature and thought out on this, too. No more Kwiatkoski
  19. Then the safety comes off of Robinson, backs up, and also picks it off.
  20. Didn’t see this post, so I posted above. I should have just quoted you since we said the same thing haha
  21. That Burton picture is unfair. It was a play action call, so his back is toward Burton as he initially breaks. If he throws that, HHCD gets an easy pick. If Burton continues to run and he leads him, Kentrell Brice jumps and gets an easy pick. The miss to Robinson on the fade was much worse.
  22. I don’t understand this post and who you’re agreeing/siding with. The argument is largely about Trubisky. Jack said that he believed in the Hawks because when Kane and Toews arrived, talent was already there, so he believed in them. My question then was “then why can’t you believe now? A lot of the talent is there for the Bears as well when Trubisky arrived” as I named 6-8 players. Wait, what? You say he sucks, and I question you. You then say that there’s nothing wrong with a “believe it when you see it” approach. Now you’re back to saying your approach is “he sucks.” Which is it, dude? Is it “he sucks” or “patiently waiting to judge.” You’re confusing the fuck out of me.
