Damn Texsox, youve conjured up more A's one week then I have through 4 years of high school. From high school to my freshman year of college (present time) I normally recieve C's but have no problem with that. Throughout high school teachers made a big damn deal that getting straight A's was needed to get into EVERY college. My philosophy was why over achieve....and it seems more prevelant because our solitorian from high school goes here too. I didnt need to work my ass off for four years to get here. Not meaning to demoralize your work texsox, good job!

I dont have any certain standards on what determines when a rumor should be posted. This is the offseason and there will be many of them floating around our website. Not being around last offseason I couldnt compare the amount of rumors generated.......though it seems everyday someone has a new possible scenario for a sox trade. All well and good if its from the newspaper or media but when someone is getting their inside info off Ncorg or some other supposed insider then it just sort of becomes repetitive. What I want to know is where these insiders are hiding out at. It seems that many just sit on corners and give out sox rumors to those willing to listen. Others work undercover and give out information but skillfully hide out beyond a condition of anoymity. Perhaps waiting around for KW to make a trade instead of trying to predict one has gotten under my skin. Its not something to get worked up about in any case. I could of put it in the pet peeve thread though this one brought it to my attention first.

In my criminal justice class today our professor brought up an interesting topic on the lethal injection (Which would more then likely be used to execute Mohammed). He said that many scientists believe that there is atleast one chemical used in the process that make death extremely painful. As it goes the bodies nervous system is paralyzed but the brain is still active, thus still feels pain. Thats why those who watch a lethal injection never see the criminal move Of course the certain chemical causing pain is speculation...because its not as if anyone is willing to be a guinea pig. Painful or not in the end this guy deserves to die. Lets hope the judge doesnt overturn the sentence and give him life in prison.

Besides the idea of the pole, we should have a day devoted to expressing all our anger towards other soxtalk members or the whitesox in general. Basically anything goes without the risk of being banned.....it would be a smash hit. 24 hours of nonstop insults; everyone could vent and I'm sure a few would cry....but it would just be funny. But I know the more "correct and senior" members of this board would disagree. At the risk of some civil war II it could be disastrous, but thats why im still a member while Beastly is moving up By the way, did they actually say Dec. 23 on that Seinfeld episode. beastlys a mod all right. Just look at the calendar....he has already totally revamped it. Birthday dates used to be the only dates filled in before Beastly took control. He removed all of those and added in a whole bunch of crap. INcluding my favorite day, December 26. Just look at it before he changes it.

Thats a good point.......someone should re-suspend begood for four days because the site was down and none of us were able to post anyways.

I dont think we have any insiders beastly. Besides the occasional visits from minor leaguers theres no one from inside the sox organization that frequently post here. But of course if they did then that person would never admit it anyway. The difference is we dont claim to have inside information.........start rumors with "A big trade is coming up soon in the next few days" and then not list any sources. A thread like that probably would of died here but at WSI it went on for a while. I guess theres no set standards that you cant post uncorrobarated rumors but why would you if its not reliable. Reminds me of the threads where someone would say....."My mechanic told me that the Sox are going to get Tejada."

If I would of known these chairs were in such high demand I would of made a trip to the cell and "bought" the UD seats they had stacked in a dumpster in the parking lot.

Didnt he also screw up a play at third base against the flubs where he thought it was a force out and didnt tag the runner at third....which ofcourse led to a gametying run.

WSI is notorious for false rumors. Go back to the thread where some guy said there was going to be a "blockbuster trade to make our team better in the next few days". that was about a week ago...... But if this deal falls through I'll eat the proverbial crow. As you guys have pointed out it does fill some holes (mainly 1B/CF, left handed power) and leave us with some extra money; so it does make sense.

WSI's main discussion area for the sox is good.........its on par with Pale Hose here on soxtalk. Whenever I'm at school I notice most of the important newspaper articles posted on both sites. What we kick their asses in is the off topic section. Even though we might get in fights more often it seems to be more of a community here. On the topic of fighting......it appeared that one of our posters (Forkit) got booted off of WSI for disagreeing with someone name Pale Hose George; probably the same guy who wrote the bad review for us on that one site. Besides that incident, I was surprised to see a topic titled "soxtalk.com" and not one person ripped our site.

About time!!! Only discussions at Sox and roll were people whining about this site.

You must not be familiar with the movie Predator. There entire movie was filmed in a jungle. I would have to guess Raw Deal. I know for sure it was filmed in Chicago so that would be my best bet.
