  1. QUOTE(LDF @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) and i will say this, in most of all the trades that the sox's have made, most of these beat writers, who have far more access to the baseball scouts, managers, gm and owners have acknowledge that the sox overpaid at the time. hind sight is one thing to make a judgement call, but we need to look at the talent at the time. i understand your point, but do you honestly think that KW doesn't know what he's doing? Whatever his mindset is, it seems to be working.....

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) He netted us Harold Baines and Charles Johnson in a trade at the deadline for our division run in 2000. Charles Johnson was a beast that year. Charles johnson was the first sox autograph i ever got at a game. Josh Paul
  6. -I'll post the name of a relatively obscure white sox player from the past -you post a memory/moment that you remember about him -you post your own player I'll get it started with....... LORENZO BARCELO
  7. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:19 AM) Can a mod please lock this thread. To talk about KW's moves in this context is totally stupid. I'm not going to because he didn't do anything wrong. It's his opinion and he didn't go about it in any wrong way.
  8. I don't know about you guys, but the GM that shaped the white sox team that won the world series can do basically whatever the hell he wants sans a fire sale and I'll walk around with a smile on my face.
  9. He is going to wear his sunglasses at night.

    Baseball Books

What have you read, what have you liked? I read The Numbers Game this past summer and it was by far my favorite baseball book. It takes a unique approach to going over how baseball has evolved, focusing on the way stats have changed. I've been reading The Thinking Fan's Guide To Baseball on and off this semester. This book covers everything about baseball and is just a fun read.
  11. I also enjoy winning. What are the odds?

  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) Routine visits are tolerable. All of my wisdom teeth are under the gums. Last time I got teeth pulled I got a total of 12 shots and I couldn't shut my mouth for a solid hour cauff I cunf feel mah lipfs. I had a lot of dentist visits when i was little, ever since then I've been scared to death of a dentist/doctor visits. I won't go to either unless i'm forced. I'm going to die early with bad teeth

  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) If that's a choice, I'm taking it. Then I want all the painkillers that are legal. i wish they would put you to sleep for just routine dentist visits.
