We got arkansas-little rock at the hall tonight. Why do i have a feeling this isn't going to be a blowout like it should be?

Sometimes, when my computer is on at night and there is basically nothing running on it, maybe an idle AIM, but that would be all. Well anyway, every so often (maybe 10-15 minutes) the fans in the computer will kick into high gear and get really loud, which seems like for no apparent reason. Any ideas?
