  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) I don't know, it's just a feeling I have that I would rather just sit back and enjoy the playoff games if we make it. Since you never know if/when you'll get back, I'd rather not feel the need to analyze every single pitch. The one thing I never wanted to do is make my fellow Sox fans think that I'm not rooting for the Sox. And while I'm in the spotlight, I wanted to apologize for all the Timo sexual jokes I made this year. I honestly had no clue they were being received so poorly, and all it took was one person to ask me to stop for me to do so. i don't even expect a gamethread to be allowed during the game. your undivided attention has to be on a playoff game.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) See, we all love each other and now the sox can win. Ok, now I'm just trying to add to the oddity that is this thread. yeah, that's right
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) LOL, it actually happened. i need to be a mod
  4. rename this thread to: how we learned to stop worrying and love fathom
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:48 PM) Im going to back Fathom up here, yes, Tony backing up Fathom (thats f***ed up). Fathom, while often putting a negative spin on things, does tend to try and look at things at the big picture, and at TIMES, AT TIMES, will give credit where credit is due. There are some here that only seem to come around when the Sox lose, or are heading on a slide, and not when they have won 3 or 4. Fathom is a good poster, and brings good discussion to this site. I do however hate him. i agree. we've all gotten into our fair share of scuffle's with him, but he knows what he's talking about and is a good poster

  9. QUOTE(farmteam @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) Yeah, I was watching an episode last saturday, this girl was yelling at her mom and saying it would be her "worst birthday ever" if she got a 4 or 5 year old used Audi. Pfft, give me a 10 year old Chevy and I'd have been ecstatic. And no, I did not get a car on my birthday. I know a few people who did, but a large portion of my friends didn't. actual quote from this show: "don't tell me the world doesn't revolve around me, because today it does" - girl w/ all the crap designer clothes and huge stupid paris hilton sunglasses. I seriously need to program my tv to skip over mtv before i throw the remote at it, everything on mtv pisses me off. I'm old

  11. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) I got a whole $20 riding on BG to beat Wiscy. Should be a good game to watch before I watch NIU destroy Michigan (Michigan absolutely kill NIU) where does the illinois rutgers game fit into your viewing schedule?

    QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) SnB, you hit it on the head. Sadly. what exactly do you mean? i haven't been exactly following it very closely the past few days, is this kind of "journalism" going on? I just stole the pic from a friend's away message, thought it was a cheap laugh.

  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) Hawk and DJ were talking about Brandon in the 8th after he was done, and the camera was on him. He pulled out a tin from his pocket, and the camera shot off him so quick. maybe big league chew comes in tins now

    Anti-Rape Device

    QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Well, I have a whole list of others I could have used, and that seemed the most innocuous. And who doesn't like having a little cooter thrown out there? wasn't there an entire thread about this?
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) I will ask again, and no one really seems to answer. What did the Yanks do to bolster there team? Boston? Oakland? Angles? Minny? Clevland? What did they do to make there rosters so much better at the deadline and wavier wire? What have they done? Don't we have a better record then all of them? Shouldnt they be more concered with getting a piece then we are?? don't you remember? KW is a super hero and all the other GM's are stupid. THey're supposed to give us good players, but we can't give up good prospects or else KW is stupid. White sox fans are dumb
  21. the fall after i turned 16 i bought my dad's car since he was getting a new one. $1500 is alot when you're 16 and earn it all.
  22. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) I'm retiring my "Game Day Thread Making" hat. I'm 1-3 overall. are you going to eat that hat as well? SOXTALK IS DYING FOR SOME HAT EATING
