    THE WAVE

    NO especially during a cruicial point in the game. If you look at who starts the wave, it's always the people that have absolutely no interest in the sox/game. I think that's all you need right there
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:55 PM) I'm sorry but the Sox should pray that Shingo clears waivers. This was such a f***ing stupid move. WTF! HE HAD A BAD GAME AGAINST A TEAM THAT OWNS HIM! He had been improving steadily. Jenks is not an upgrade over Shingo no matter how much you want to thinks so. again, this wasn't about his outing on sat. against cleveland, jeeesh
  6. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Happy B-day to a SoxTalker who makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis. ^ yeah that. have an awesome one
  7. he had good control, which is exactly what we needed. his breaking balls hung a bit, but i'm thinking it was just rust. he'll be fine, we'll be fine
  8. even the very back end of our BP contributes. this team is so solid.
  9. another classic game to put in the memories for this season. Way to go everybody! Duque, crede especially
  10. Reno 911 is my new favorite show. Every episode has some classic moments
  11. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Crede and Uribe homering back to back, who would have seen that coming? gotta be crede's sideburns
  12. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Twins tie it no frowns allowed. jesus, this team is incredible
  13. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) I say right before Maggs bats Ozzie comes out to the mound to visit with El duque...Maggs will be shaking in his cleats the next pitch...I don't say bean him, but a nice first pitch to send him to the turf or out of the batters box would suffice as a nice welcome back message! or not
  14. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) Oh can you tell there will be a nice number of Sox fans out ther acting like childish idiots?.......but that's just a media creation I'm sure. with it being half price night, more than just sox fans go.
  15. half price night + maggs return + good weather = it might not be a good night to bring the kids to a game today. I've got a bad feeling about this
  16. good article actually, very good

    Hey...

    QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) i'd like to see him back myself i gotta say, that's one funny ass sig ^
  18. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) I need two (2) tickets for tonight in premium lower box. I want to have these tickets by 430. Thanks..... little demanding eh?
  19. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Why? Hawkins is real good when hes not in the closers role if we're going to trade for a reliever, i want someone you can count on. hawkins is not the answer
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) I hope the Orioles get Burnett, because the package we are talking about is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpaying for a mediocre pitcher. ^ just because he's the best pitcher on the market, doesn't neccesarily make him *THAT good. our rotation is fine how it is. If we can find a deal, then fine, take it. Not worth overpaying for something we really don't need. I'm wiling to overpay for a utility infielder and a reliever, not a shady starter
  21. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:18 AM) Think with walk-up we'll sell out the next seven games? quite possibly
  22. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) Ultimately, that's just it. He got by with a year of smoke-and-mirrors and everyone in the AL, especially the AL Central (with whom we will have many, many games in the second half) have figured him out. He won't be re-signed after this season anywho. Trade him. Get younger. Get a contributor for 05' and beyond. and that's why an NL team would take him. the NL hasn't seen him much. He could get away with a few months of sucess over there.
  23. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) I think he will be staying with the White Sox. He had 1 bad outing against a team that owns him. It's stupid to trade him. the sox have wanted to trade him long before yesterday
